Before reading this article, you should be warned, what this student was served at lunch is truly disgusting to look at.
A 15-year-old student posted online earlier this month the following picture of the school lunch he received:
The original poster wrote with the submission, "Complaining about school lunches? Here's my school's 'Philly Cheese Steak.'"
Recently, major changes came to school lunches because of the efforts of the First Lady, Michelle Obama. The USDA claims that "the new standards align school meals with the latest nutrition science and the real world circumstances of Americas schools."
It was only recently that dozens of teenagers posted their lunches to social media, specifically calling out Michelle Obama for the reforms she pushed.
Actually, I liked C-rations! Too far from the chow hall at U-tapao so I ate c rats out of the BX annex.
I could fix them up will with a Tabasco on a Sterno stove and ate well.
Where did the school get the meat for that sandwich? From roadkill in front of the school.
What a disgusting site.
If I were a parent and had a child in that school,I’d send him/her there with a pre-packed lunch.
I would let them buy that refuse.
Parents need to speak up. They pay the supt.’s salary. They own the school. Take those lunches to the board meeting and tell them to chow down. First time this garbage is shoved under a congressman’s nose will be the last time it’s ever served.
I would like to see whoever is in charge of this crap to be force-fed this disgusting garbage.
Just shows you how much this admin hates it’s citizens.
The trend is to disallow brown bags because the parents don’t know how to pack a “healthy lunch”.
Dog puke.
Naw-— don’t believe it. I bet that is a pic of the lunch at Sidwell Friends school!!! (/sarc)
It’s just a “re-boot” of that Army classic: “SOS”.
I think lima beans and ham was out of the C-ration inventory when I came in in 73, but I liked the spaghetti and meat balls and the chopped ham and eggs. We always kept a bottle or two of Tabasco sauce in our M577 FDC vehicle.
I’m with you, I actually liked c-rations, especially the crackers.
I NEVER, EVER saw Army SOS made to look anything like that ‘philly cheese’ mystery meat.
Yeah, I said it was a re-boot, a re-interpretation, of a beloved classic.
Soylent Brown.
“If my dog left that in the yard, Id take her to the vet.”
Post of the day.
My kids eat leftovers, pb&j, or turkey sandwiches. Sometimes we go out if we’re running around.
Actually, I’ve seen better looking dog food.
Fried cat vomit.
just put some A1 sauce on it and its all good...
“Philly Cheese Steak”
...more like Filly Jeez Steak
