Why free community college would be the "next step" was explained by the President's assertion that "going to college is a great experience that no one should be denied just because they can't afford it. It's not like the old days when students were pressured by heavy workloads, term papers, and difficult exams. "Listen to the President; he's a Constitutional Scholar!"
