You are so trusting of the government. No understanding of human nature. No understanding of the bottom feeders (yes....I mean lawyers) whose only ability to do anything in life is through trickery and guile. “ Better Call Saul!”

So either you are one of those lawyers or you have no understanding of what they currently are doing to destroy America.

Leave the constitution alone and fine tune it through the amendment process

Yes, and Louis C. K.’s cousin, and Mary K’s nephew, and Danny K.’s grandson.

A constitutional convention = "hope and change"...Hopefully you didn't also fall for that one.

<>Yup. No understanding, whatsoever.<>

By you, those Founders, Framers, Congress, and thousands of attendees to thirteen ratification conventions were stupid to believe the people have a fundamental right, as per the Declaration, to frame their government.

<>A constitutional convention is a sure fire way of destroying the greatest extant constitution in existence.<>

Okay, tell me which of the first ten amendments are in full force, are entirely respected by Rome-on-the-Potomac.

It’s John Schickelgruber.
Isn’t he president?

Nope.
That one invented Obamacare...

It’s Jonathon W K. We’re sort of informal around here so we usually call him “Fred” for short. He doesn’t like it when we call him Shirley.

And what we have is an untenable situation that the criminals in "Rome-on-the-Potomac" must be held to answer for these digressions. We need to hold the criminals to task. If they don't listen to reason (the current paradigm) then we must take it back by force if necessary (see Declaration of Independence...not a legal document ).
If you give bureaucrats the ability to form a new bureaucracy....that is what you will get

What does that have to do with anything?

A constitutional convention would allow a totally new re-writing and it will/would be just as corrupt as a Chicago election.

Once you open that door you can't control what is going to be discussed or how it will end.

Be careful what you wish for.
