Oprah Winfrey has been watching the protests in Ferguson and New York like everyone else.
"I think it's wonderful to march and to protest and it's wonderful to see all across the country, people doing it," she tells PEOPLE exclusively.
But it's not enough to march, says Winfrey.
"What I'm looking for is some kind of leadership to come out of this to say, 'This is what we want. This is what has to change, and these are the steps that we need to take to make these changes, and this is what we're willing to do to get it.'"
David Oyelowo, who plays Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the film Selma adds, "And you saw that in the way black and white, young and old, came together to say, 'This is not okay.'"(continued)

The change has already been decided. They just need to stoke the flames a little more before they implement their “solution.”

allies of the marchers and rioters now control much of the country. They could say it does them a lot of good. I think it has ruined the country, perhaps irreparably.
I ran the numbers for my state, GA. About 5% of the adult population has a concealed carry license. Not everyone, but a surprisingly large number, making for a statistically significant chance a random law-abiding citizen is carrying.
This makes me happy.

As I understand it it “raises awareness”. What that accomplishes I don't know.

Bad news for her and the leaders -- they aren't going to get anything beyond what they've already stolen.

This is funny, because she is basically saying that “What anarchism needs are more leaders”.
...And to wear the anarchist uniform, recite the anarchist pledge and credo, sing the anarchist anthem, and march in the anarchist parade.
She forgets that these protesters have the discipline of banana slugs.

I think a number of them do. For for obvious p.c. reasons they can’t bear to go against their peers. They must back the lying narrative of the last fifty years of racist whites oppressing and killing innocent, black people. A few black celebs like Charles Barkley aren’t afraid to speak the truth and lose favor in the black community. But he’s a rare one.

I think it’s awesome in theory. I admit I’ve grown a shade ambivalent over the years about actually being involved with a woman who has ready access to deadly force.
