Senate Democrats agreed to Tuesday’s vote as a gift to Landrieu...and lift her to a victory in her run-off election... That's all this is, something to help Miss Piggy's reelection chances. Should the bill pass, it's a guaranteed veto. So it's meaningless as legislation.
Yes. The Republicans needed to support this bill. But it's nothing to get excited about.
Now if the bill contained language removing it from judicial review, it passed, and Obama signed it, then it's time to be excited!

The problem, for her, is that her opponent in the run-off SPONSERED the bill in the House.
She's working overtime to get a Senate super-majority on HIS legislation.
