A park in the United Kingdom has banned adults from going there unattended. That is, adults cannot go to Puxton Park by themselves.
Why would they do this? Because, according to the park, unattended adults are very likely to be a pedophile.
Matthew Richards, who is married, was unaware of this rule when he took a 25-mile drive to go to the park. Richards, a bird-watching enthusiast, went to see a falconry display at the park.
When he arrived, he was told he could not enter on child protection grounds.
Richards was taken aback. I was frankly amazed. I was told the rule applies to single men, and women, for the protection of children, he said. We have taken one of our grandchildren there before, and I saw that the falconry was there and thought it would be interesting to go back and see the displays.

Were Brits always this stupid?
If anyone was going to bring up Aqualung it was going to be you..!
We have a similar thing here in NYC. No unattended adults allowed in a playground. Are there people who come alone and read a newspaper on a bench? Of course. And they aren’t bothered. But if parents suspect someone is doing something untoward, the cops can use that rule to expel the single adult. The Brits seem to have taken this rule too far. It’s all about common sense and discretion.
Another ‘advantage’ to same sex marriages.
Two Peds could get married just to get around this little ‘speed bump’ and reap marriage bennies to boot.
SEX doesn’t always have to factor into marriage.
All sorts of ‘horror stories’ out there of ‘sex’ virtually being off the table once the ‘bloom is off the rose’ or the rug rats start arriving.
The ‘old line’ of how do you stop a woman (well maybe now man) from giving —— -—s
MARRY HER/HIM.
Ban the falcons. They attract pedo birdwatchers. Maybe ban the park since it attracts falcons.
The departments of pre-crime and thought-police has spoken!
I think men are simply far more likely to be reported for sexual assault.
Step fathers are another bizarrely hated group among some FReepers.
“I see a great money maker here. Rent-a-Child”
I see a new business mired in lawsuits and investigations. Rent-a-Child.
I’m just saying. . .
If they’d just cover all the children in burkas they wouldn’t have a problem.
This in a country that let Muslim men rape thousands of girls for years but did nothing because of fears of cries of “racism”.
Yet another division between common people.
And it's that precise attitude why I don't coach little league baseball or volunteer for Big Brothers..........
All it would take to ruin my life would be one kid or parent to make a false accustion about me.......
I found a lost child once and was a little hesitant to intervene for the same reason.
Lawyers are involved in everything and every breath we take.
The Rent-a-Child is a great idea (ROFL)
Let’s say you need to take a short cut through the park because you’re late for work, or whatever. At the entrance of the park is a group of children ready to be rented. You pay the fee, get a ticket and a child. The child walks you safely to the other end of the park where you drop off the child and give your ticket to the person in charge.
Ban trees. They attract a bad element.
I know some people who won’t hire any personally-unknown man to babysit their children.
)))))))))))))))
I would never hire any male to babysit. Particularly teen males. Ever.
Rotherham.
1300 underage kids involved with “Asian men” where the authorities looked the other way due to PC considerations.
1300 kids.
UK.
Now this.
“I think men are simply far more likely to be reported for sexual assault.”
I think you are right, however, I will still say that a much higher proportion of men regardless of reportage are guilty of this crime. Even so, the male victims of this are much less likely to consider it a crime, however.
They should ban anyone employed at the BBC!
Decades of abuse and it was covered up.
