Some Pre/Post Election Advice from Sun Tzu

I pray that we never need to put Sun Tzu’s advice to the test – but as the saying goes: “Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.”

As the elections on November 4th draw ever nearer I would like to share some words of advice from Sun Tzu’s (circa 544–496 BC) classic ‘The Art of War’.

Given the apathetic/indoctrinated/dumbed-down nature of a large segment of the American electorate these days, I do not take a decisive conservative (read that as “less government”) victory as being a given.

My attitude is one of “we’ll see what we see.” In other words, I am not holding my breath waiting for a conservative tsunami of epic proportions to occur on Election Day. I would, of course, be delighted should such an event occur, but I am not counting on it by any means.

Here’s wishing they DO win the Senate and increase their House majority...

If so, that begs the question, “What will they do with their power?” If they repeat last time they held power, I’m not hopeful...

We need Kunta Kenyan and his merry band legislatively castrated for the remainder of his term if not impeached and removed, along with repeal and restoration...

With Obama ready to veto any conservative legislation, I don’t foresee much change.

Every dollar that a Democrat government employee in a make-work job takes from you for his/her salary, is a dollar that you don’t have to improve the lives of your family members.

I tend to agree...

Not optimistic what Republican majorities in House and Senate would do with their power IF they get it...

And not optimistic they will attain anything like a “veto-proof” majority to override Kunta Kenyan...
