Im a cop.
A few weeks ago, two of my beat partners and I were called to an apartment in a fairly nice complex to help a mother and father with their 16-year-old son.
The son had no criminal history, and by all accounts was a decent kid. But he was having some problems at home breaking things and making threats with a knife and the parents needed our help.
When we finally located the son, who is of mixed ethnicity (dad is white, mom is Hispanic), he instantly began cussing and yelling at us. He took a fighting stance and said he was not going to do anything we told him.
Luckily, we were able to calm him and get him into handcuffs without any blows being thrown.
We asked why he was so hostile towards us. His response? Ferguson. The cops could not be trusted because of what happened in Ferguson, Missouri. He told us that he wanted to kill all white cops because of what they had done to Michael Brown....

All because they could.
Too many brainless hoods in blue, hiding their drunk brothers and smiling when they shoot a civilian and get a paid vacation. I hope the Politicians crucify the Ferguson Thug. Not because they should, but because they can, for political gain.
Karma is a Mother.
It's even possible they're hoping to wait to clear the officer in time for maximum nationalization, to encourage a black voter "backlash," or some damnable thing.
Bastards. Reality cannot be avoided eventually, whatever perceptions are.
Thank 0bama and Holder too. They could have cut this off at the knees but instead they poured gasoline on the situation.
Kid needs to stop listening to his "Rage Against the Machine" CDs.
De minimis African blood on the mother's side. Cops could probably have shot him.
I think the author is lacking information on his subject-and that kid-if he even really exists-is just wanting attention, and his parents need to teach him manners and restraint. Cops have no damn business being involved in anything that isn’t a crime or deadly threat, and that does not include some attention craving kid yelling “Ferguson, Ferguson” like “fire” in a crowded place...
Most of us are ethnically mixed, unless both our parents have the same ancestry from the same ethnic group.
Genetic research shows Indians/native Americans have been a mix of Asian/Caucasian for thousands of years-long before the Spaniards, who were also Caucasians got here-and that was over 500 years ago, so none of us know how much native or Spanish we are-we are just a mix of both. In the Caribbean, Spaniards, Indian/Native Americans and Blacks have been interbreeding for 500 years at least.
I’m Hispanic/Latina, and I don’t know any Black people who hate Hispanics-that is a false assumption started and spread by race hustlers of the Sharpton type. I don’t even know any Black people who hate Whites/Caucasians of any ethnic background-but I don’t live in a city, either...
With all due respect to police officers who came into the profession to really “protect and serve”, part of the social dynamic has been the increased level of SWAT and how often government moves to protect police officers even when they violate the civil rights of citizens. All citizens are concerned about militarization of police functions. How often do police shoot a homeowner’s dog and how often does his department find that was unjustified use of force? Too frequently and hardly ever. All of these incidents pile up in the minds of the public.
Even when police have body cameras, too often we read that the recordings after an incident not available because of some self-serving department decision.
I agree with you. Nothing to do with Furguson.
Haha-you beat me to the metal reference-I was going to say Black Sabbath...
There’s a lot of resentment among blacks (I’m from NYC) against Hispanic immigrants, who have done well here - because they’re industrious and their culture is better and more positive than black American culture. It’s all a cultural thing, and if you grow up in an environment festering with hatred and resentment ...much of it manipulated by the Democratic Party...you’re just not going to do very well.
We already have it Bob. Now they are just turning up the heat to boil us like frogs.
“To protect and serve” was the caption on a poster I had that showed an actor dressed as a cop straddling a bike and grabbing a female model’s ass, and flipping the bird to passers-by-he had an oversized pistol on his hip and a joint sticking out of his pocket. That was in 1971-it appears that it is okay for me to say “pigs” again now-I loved that poster...
I have been accused of being anti-police because I hate thugcops.
That said, the police in Ferguson are not acting like thugcops. Quite the contrary. The two shoots were good shoots and the cops are showing great restraint.
Your comment is ridiculous IMHO.
“All citizens are concerned about militarization of police functions.”
Really??? All citizens? That’s quite a sweeping, all inclusive claim.
.
Global warming made him hostile.
I’m fortunate, then-grew up on a ranch here, and my dad and my husband were in the military, where color blindness prevails-I have zero exposure to Black people like that-the only racial slur ever thrown at me was from a WASP...
This is an age old tactic of the left. They used to do it during the civil rights movement, bus in protestors from up north to make it look like the locals were up in arms over something.
Sorry Deputy but you are wrong. This attitude amongst a large segment of the population existed long before Ferguson.
It isn’t a false assumption; blacks I know here in NJ treat Hispanics as though they are robbing blacks of their freebies in terms of jobs, housing, and college seats (they are, by dividing up the affirmative action and welfare goodies), and are vocal in their displeasure when Hispanic co-workers speak Spanish.
Workplaces that had been heavily black a dozen years ago are almost exclusively Hispanic now, and surviving blacks have spread the word (and attitude).
