Faltering Obama Still Blaming Messenger
Commentary Magazine ^ | October 2, 2014 | Jonathan S. Tobin

Posted on 10/06/2014 11:37:50 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Fox News may be demolishing its more liberal cable news rivals in the ratings but to Democrats it’s still the bogeyman. That’s why President Obama took the opportunity to criticize the network during a speech defending his economic record at Northwestern University today. But in doing so, the president not only demonstrated the weakness of his position but also why he doesn’t understand Fox’s appeal.

During his speech, the president said this about Fox and its audience:

A true opposition party should have the courage to lay out their agenda. Hopefully also grounded in facts. There’s a reason fewer Republicans are preaching doom on the deficits – because the deficits have come down at almost a record pace and they’re now manageable. There’s a reason fewer are running against ObamaCare – because while good, affordable health care might still be a fanged threat to freedom of the American people on Fox News, it turns out it’s working pretty well in the real world.

There’s a lot to unwrap in just one paragraph but let’s try to hit the major points.

First, the notion that Republicans are not running on their party’s principles on spending, taxes, and the deficit is the sort of thing only a person living inside the White House echo chamber could believe. Across the country, GOP candidates are doing just that as they continue to capitalize on the voters’ disillusionment with the president’s liberal agenda and failed leadership.

Though, due to the faltering economy and the nation’s focus on the president’s foreign-policy failures, ObamaCare is not as potent an issue this fall as it was in the past, he’s kidding himself if he thinks it is going away. As I noted yesterday, successful court challenges will ensure that it remains on the agenda in the coming year....

“Fanged threat”?

Maybe meant “feigned threat”?

So Fox News is a channel on TV in America. It so happens that its ratings surpass the other big three nearly combined. So its safe to say that Fox is the most popular among the American people by a longshot.
The same American people that he represents. The same American people he works for.
He just badmouthed something that the majority of Americans like.
I has never been argued that Obama hates mainstream America,(read: Christian White People) doesn’t care what they want, doesn’t care what they like... that has never really been an issue, we all know that. Its things like this that further prove it to be fact: He can’t stand the people he is supposed to represent.

If the majority of Americans looked to Looney Toons for their news, then the president of the United States should embrace Looney Toons as the people’s choice.

Obamacare is not over, not by a long shot. Two thirds of it still hasn’t been implemented because Valerie and his other handlers are scared to death at what the reaction will almost certainly be.

Mr. Tobin should know better than to speak with a mouth full. Hey Jonathan, If NeroCare is so wonderful why has the Administation altered its provisions 37 times? Why did Nero delay the employer Mandate until after the mid term Elections? Give it up Tobin, your Messiah is a fraud and his message is nothing but a lie. Fox News should encapsulate all of Nero's cheap shots and us it as a national ad. "The Only News Network that that the President Talks about..."

So why did Obama have to postpone the employer mandate from 2014 until 2015? Because it would be so popular right before the midterm?
