With all the major screw ups in handling this Ebola crap in Dallas...I’m sure ISIL-ABCD or other Islamic jihadists are taking notes...and probably laughing their Muslim a$$es off.
Time to move to Africa were the infection and survival rates will be better.
I was talking to the wife tonight about these convenience stores owned by immigrants. Say a worker comes it with no symptoms. While stocking the shelves he vomits. If this is reported the store will be shut down and all the contents destroyed. Do you think the owner would report it?
Personally, I hope we’re being told the truth and this will be stopped. But I’m not convinced. I can see public events cancelled. No football. No concerts. Movie theaters closed. Even churches. No large gathering of people anywhere. And the national guard at every intersection. Everyone ordered to shelter in place.
Positive upside, maybe there will be a coup and the Muslim sisterhood will hang
I say ebola is media sensationalism. We’ve been scared with bird flu word flu turd flu and MRSA, swine flu bine flu pine flu and SARS, hanta virus, banta virus, panta virus and now ebola virus. The very next time there’s a disease that isn’t brought over the border, they will be cooking up all sorts of fears.
It isn’t any different than the OJ Simpson, or how they ramped up before the Branch Davidians were exterminated for their own good, or what the planned to do with the Unibomber trial that never happened because of a plea bargain. Ebola, more after these messages.
It doesn’t change the fact that only a few more than 3000 people have died in an epidemic in Africa, out of hundreds of millions of people who live on the continent. You just know that the liberals in the media are salivating at wet-dream proportions in anticipation of the death of millions of Americans, and then they would get all of the abandoned stuff. Of course it won’t happen, but they will exaggerate the deaths of elderly and otherwise immunocompromised people to make it seem like a huge disaster, and we will all turn on our TVs to the major networks to see what they have to say.
And while we are waiting for real news, we can watch the important messages from the sponsors, and since they have 30 minutes to fill, you can watch the latest Democrat propaganda. So keep playing into their hands and pray that their wish comes true, and that millions of liberals succumb to their epidemic of choice.
Most nurses make a good income, typically middle class moms with kids at home and with a built-in nurturing/protective mentality - it’s why they became nurses.

If this moves past isolated events, the much vaunted first world health care system that will supposedly lead to a different outcome here: it will collapse in hours when few health care workers show up to work.

I am sorry to say that the scenario in Dallas, has not been a surprise, except it’s even a bit worse than I thought. I spent 5 long years of staying with parents off and on in the hospital.
At various times they were in private isolation rooms with negative air pressure. I knew what the protocols were supposed to be. I also observed the lackadaisical manner in which they were half ignored.
So I was skeptical that any hospital would be able to handle Ebola. Also, today a medical doctor on the news made the point that we don’t have an abundance of such rooms - certainly not enough to handle a whole bunch of cases and still treat the other infectious and antibiotic resistant disease, flu, and the increased EV D68.
So far, it’s been handled worse than I expected. There’s no way to know for sure at this point what’s going to happen. A smart congress critter up for election this year could probably make some good headway running on flight restrictions from these regions and other matters of containment, especially if we get a few more cases popping up around the country, or a bunch more in Dallas from this one guy.
I already stay in during the winter because I don’t like the cold weather, but that also cuts down on exposure to whatever virus is going around. I expect that some people will stay home and restrict their exposure, and others will go about life with a don’t worry be happy attitude.
America and Americans will rise to the occasion

We can easily be killed by political correctness either by not properly confining suspect cases, or allowing terrorists into the country.
