Kevin Ward, Jr. Had Enough Marijuana in His System to Impair Judgment; Tony Stewart Not Charged
By: Jason Lisk 9 hours ago
Tony Stewart will not be indicted by an Ontario County (NY) grand jury in the death of Kevin Ward, Jr. Stewarts vehicle struck Ward after Ward exited his own vehicle on the track and walked toward the middle of the race track at Canandaigua Motor Speedway on August 9, 2014
I don’t know what you mean by “your boy” but it just strengthens my impression that you’re just a NASCAR fanboy who doesn’t like Tony Stewart, which is your prerogative, but it doesn’t make him guilty of anything. And stoner Ward would have been more likely to kill one of my kids than Stewart.
Hooray Tony! You da man!
Sometimes God's answer is NO.
So you’re saying he did it on purpose, and the crazy kid running around in traffic had nothing to do with it?
Cheech be smokin’ some Labrador.
Apparently you have more evidence about Stewart’s position on the track that should have been presented to the grand jury. You should call them and let them know. Right away.
Interesting set of facts you have there. I saw a guy get out of his car, move down the track and then walk a few more steps down the track about the time that Tony was already committed to the turn.now, unbelievably, we know this guy was high on marijuana which is truly an unexpected additional fact.
The individual who got out of his car and stupidly walked down the track is 100% at fault. If you didn’t do that he would be dead. I am no Tony fan, but he’s not the one walking around the track with sprint cars going around at high speeds.
I agree.
“dope kills”
And in other news:
Number of marijuana license seekers in Illinois tops expectations
But, what the hell, he's a sports star so what difference do facts make.It appears that the facts make *all* the difference, according to the more than two-dozen witnesses and experts who testified under oath in court.
Do you think that the verdict would have gone the other way if you were allowed to testify?
He didn't get the nickname of "Smoke" because of his mild-mannered demeanor.
He probably didn't like some punk-ass local kid trying to show him up so he killed him.
Way to go Tony! I love you!
Ward committed suicide by sprint car
I amend my comment, Stewart should be paid a bounty, and should sue Ward's family for compensation of lost winnings.
They should’ve called me.
But then, what do rules matter to a bigtime "sports" star.
But he shouldn't have been that high up the track under a caution.
I’m not a fan - don’t care one bit about racing. Even before learning that the kid who left his car had smoked weed I felt it was stupid to have left his vehicle to confront Stewart. Why would anyone do that? It is a tragic death but not the fault of Stewart. The kid made a stupid decision - the grand jury made the correct one
The guy had less sense than a child who knows better than to run into the street. I have no pity for him. He imbibes in mind altering chemicals, puts EVERYONE ELSE at increased risk because he's not happy the way his brain works without help, and then runs onto a race track full of speeding cars.
I give the Darwin Award on this one.
Ah. I believe that you have hit the nail on the head.
Turns out that Jr. wasn’t actually doing much thinking. Hopped out of his car, pissed off that he had been run off of the track by Stewart, with the intention of getting a piece of Mr. Stewart.
He should serve as an object lesson for every race car driver that decides to get behind the wheel of a race car...
