I am working on an article where I need age distribution of Black males in Wisconsin. I need the number of Black males in Wisconsin 15-35 years old in 2010. 2010 is a census year, so you would think it would be easy to find, but I have not found it so far.
I have found a reference for the national figures in wikipedia, but not for the state figures.
Any help would be appreciated.
I would also like the numbers for Hispanics of the same age and sex in 2010 in Wisconsin. I have estimates based on percent of the total population, but I was hoping that the census had better numbers.

I have done that, but so far, have not been able to back out the numbers by age and race. One or the other, yes, but not both.

I am sure some will, but in this case, there is simply a lot more data for Black males than for any other group.
Just go in Walmart, look around.
I did a demographics study in 1990 in which I ranked Florida’s 67 counties first by homicide rate then by percentage of the population which was Black.
I was surprised the prof agreed to the study.
The information was obtained from a book titled U.S. Statistics. Every large library has it. I suspect it is now on the internet.
BTW there was a positive correlation between percentage Black and homicide rates. I had to use several decades of information because some counties only had one or no homicides.
I didn’t try to compare rural Blacks to Urban Blacks homicide rates but it was clear just looking at the data that the combination of urban setting and high percentage of the population being Black was really what caused the rate to go up.
Some of the rural counties in the central panhandle had a lot of Blacks but their murder rate was not much higher than the mostly White counties.

Not easy to find, but having looked for similar in on census.gov I was able to pull it up.
This is from the P12B SEX BY AGE (BLACK OR AFRICAN AMERICAN ALONE) 2010 SF1 100% Data file.
Interestingly, I noticed the two age cohorts shown alone were similar counts. What this shows is there are more black males per age in the younger ages. Not sure what to atribute this to. I don’t know enough about Wisconsin demographics. Wisconsin grew 6% from 2000 to 2010 so that would be a factor.
