The problem with power is sooner or later someone abuses it and the more power the more the chance of abuse. Like the SWAT Member who dreamed of shooting protesters at the Bundy Ranch

We need to promote all the unionized policeman of this calibre to a special Border Patrol unit and let them crack heads at that site. Let’s be resourceful.

I am of the opinion that SWAT teams should only be authorized and be responsible to elected law enforcement. Namely, Sheriffs departments and possibly State Police departments.
Further, I am of the opinion that there are entirely too many no-knock warrents issued. Such warrents should only be issued by elected judges and then only when the Police can show reasonable cause for concern for the lives of the citizens such as in suspected hostage, murder or abuction situation.

It’s been deliberately brewed by the Democrats, and Ubama turned up the heat.

Aggravate, needle and provoke until someone snaps, then we'll have martial law.
That's what the cops are preparing for.

Back in 1970 Conspiracy theorists were warning of the government desire to have a FEDERAL POLICE FORCE.
Looks like we got it now, want it or not!

The only problem are the spoiled minorities who were taken in and later freed, without having to build this country. Then now they screech about how the US is oppressing them, despite our attempts (and trillions) to help them. Yet, they refuse to help themselves. We can’t win anymore and the only reason the US is on tenterhooks is because we have to tiptoe around a certain 13% that refuses to settle in and end up being part of this country in a positive way.

...”Ever since 911, there has been a trend moving toward much harsher local police.”.....
Well the problem isn’t the police...the problem is our laws that won’t prosecute the guilty. So the natural result is more crimes on the street ..because they know the laws can be dodged.

Obviously, you’re a drug dealer, or maybe a terrorist, since you’re questioning the police.

I noticed that these “militarized” police goobers have been real careful not to do anything to OWS protesters or the humanoids in da hood.

"The small town of Medford, Oregon with a population of 76,462 has spent millions of dollars to militarize their police. They have their own Swat Teams, yet no incident in history of some major shooting of such a nature to warrant a Swat Team. The entire reason where there was the Second Amendment was to eliminate this very threat of standing armies. We are seeing the abuse of force at every level. Medford Police bought a new vehicle that some say could survive a so-called the apocalypse. They used their Swat Team to go after a mere carjacker." I lived there. The cops are the scariest gang in town. Nobody trusts them. When they drive around town, they break every single law on the books. I've NEVER seen one drive legally.
On a good day, they are merely harassing the average citizen attempting to legally go about their day by writing traffic tickets.
Spooky. Glad I don't live there anymore, for that and other reasons.
