I usually agree with the author of this piece, but I think this one misses the point.

The issue is not that there are Muslim people who made contributions to our society in the course of living in it.

But those individual contributions were not in any way a contribution of Muslim culture, which has been virtually non-existent in America since forever prior to the last 10-15 years.

Yes there have been Muslim people who have made contributions to our society, although nowhere near as many as individual Jewish, or even Asian people. But Muslim culture, wherever it has been permitted to take root in America, has had, at best, a neutral effect, and at worst a negative influence.

And clearly, as the Muslim population grows in any society, it predictably brings with it hatred, poverty, and all sorts of barbaric values that should forever be banished from Western civilization.

And Obama’s statement about Muslim contributions to the “very fabric of our Nation” becomes outright offensive when one realizes that Obama has NEVER made the same sort of statement about Christianity, which really is at the core of Western civilization and the values that led to the creation of our once great nation.

Obama didn't say the contributions were buildings and medical breakthroughs, he said Muslim '“achievements and contributions… to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy.”

That statement is a slap in the face to our Nation and its founders. Bash away at Obama for it....he earned it.

All I see is an enemy that lashes out at civilized people while hiding beneath the skirts of women and behind babies held in front of them. Whether they are muslim or not isn’t a factor, that they “need killin’” is pretty much the only relevant point, IMHO. I’ll close with this statistic that may surprise a lot of people: in the 2000 U.S. Presidential election, nearly 80% of Muslims voted for Bush.

Doesn't surprise me. Bush was always a lapdog for the Saudis. That's why he walked hand-in-hand with the Saudi "king". That's why he let the Bin Laden clan escape the U.S. after 9/11 while all other flights were grounded. That's why 4 days after 9/11, with the WTC still smouldering, Bush took his shoes off in a filthy D.C. mosque, standing next to a Muslim Brotherhood Imam to declare Islam the "religion of peace" (just imagine FDR doing that in a Shinto shrine 4 days after Pearl Harbor to understand how disgusting it was). And that's why Bush let the Muslim world -- particularly the Saudis and Pakistan -- off the hook after 9/11, going after the more irrelevant Saddam Hussein instead, and letting Musharraf tie his hands in Western Pakistan when Bush could have imposed any will on ANY country he wanted to after 9/11.

No...I would say the Muslims voted for the right guy to uphold their interests.
