One is not racing clean.
A champion racehorse owned by Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has tested positive for morphine, a banned substance on race days in the United Kingdom.
The British Horseracing Authority announced last week that tests on five horses under the care of various trainers showed the presence of morphine in their 'A' samples. Late Tuesday, Buckingham Palace said that one of the horses was the monarch's 5-year-old mare Estimate
The Daily Telegraph reports that the horse will likely forfeit its second-place finish in the Gold Cup at Ascot this past June, as well as the prize money of 80,625 pounds ($137,671)

Christians, Jews, Arabs, the whole of humanity being shot at, 300 innocents shot out of the sky ,political upheaval hasn't been this shaky since who knows when, the US is under duress from all, every direction, most of which we don't know yet, we have someone in office who has yet to conjure up his ultimate surprise he plans on springing on us and Fox news is worried, upset, spends time and resources on this poor lady's terrible ordeal having found morphine in one of her horses, the penalty of which is the very worst of everything that's going on, the damm horse, won't be able to race. Oh,the Hu-Manatee.
The woman is beside herself in grief and rightly so.
Heartbreaking?
Seriously, WTF was my thought as well.
could fox news be attempting sarcasm?
For you who have never been involved with the racing industry this may sound like a joke, but it’s not; it’s a very serious crime. Many, many millions of dollars are at stake. Not just the purses in this particular race, but there are tens of millions bet on the big British races. The horse industry is a large part of the UK’s economy. So if someone got to horses or the results of races are otherwise questionable, that has a significant impact on betting, breeding, and international sales (again, representing staggering amounts of money).
The queen is the head of British racing, so if her horses are involved it’s even worse—her trainers, jockeys, grooms, exercise riders, and other staff are the very best, and now they’ll all be under suspicion for committing a crime. Believe me, this is going to cause a police investigation and someone is going to jail. The effort involved in nobbling not just one but four closely guarded animals is remarkable, quite hard to imagine. It’s so hard to imagine that I wonder if the lab, or someone transporting samples to the lab, is the source of the crime.
Where have you gone, Dick Francis? Her Majesty’s dominions turn their lonely eyes to you, woo woo woo.
a banned substance on race days

But OK on non-race days???
OK.I’m not familiar with the horse racing industry in Great Britain. Had I known what I know now after you’ve enlightened me on the seriousness of the matter, I would have not posted the article. I apologize.
The horse has since checked herself into a rehab, and will hopefully be able to turn her life around.
And he requests that everyone respects his privacy during this difficult period.
No apologies needed. I’m glad you posted it because I have very very limited news access today and wouldn’t have heard about it otherwise. It’s kind of fascinating if you like mystery stories.
My mention of Dick Francis refers to the late Queen Mother’s jockey, who retired and wrote an enormously successful series of crime novels based on just this sort of thing. Since he wrote them, however, drug testing and crime prevention in the racing industry have become much more stringent, which means that a crime like this is even more difficult to pull off. Makes you wonder how it was done.
British racing is much less corrupt than US racing. They take it very seriously indeed. But criminals will ways try more and more creative ways to get around the most careful controls. And when the victims of the crimes can’t talk, that makes their work easier.
