Should the Republicans impeach Barack Obama or not? There are good arguments on both sides of the question.
Perhaps we should change the question. The question should be, when are the Democrats going to realize its in their own best interest to pay him a visit and ask him to step down, or to change course a bit? Im speaking not so much of the Democratic Party's spineless politicians, but the party's donors, the monied backers, most of whom are paying up for protection and buying favors. Will protection and favors be there if the Democratic Party loses power?
If theres anything going down the tubes faster than the American economy and the rule of law, its the Democratic Party.
What are we going to do about him? No, what are YOU going to do about him?
Due to Obamacare, theyre losing young voters. Due to Keystone and Common Core, theyre losing unions. Due to the immigration issue, their black vote is in peril. Blacks are saying publicly now, why are you helping Hispanics when we should be your focus? White women voters are beginning to ask the same question.
Theyre losing the media because the media at some point will have to go into self-preservation mode also, if they havent already.
What are we going to do about him? No, what are YOU going to do about him?
Obama also seems to care not a whit for the Democratic Party. Perhaps he believes he will have even more power if they too are marginalized. The party is composed of disparate factions that are beginning to see their interests are juxtaposed. This is a train wreck. Obama's the engineer, but the constituencies all perceive they're riding in the caboose.
The fact that Dems up for reelection cant even be seen with him, gives us the best clue that we may be doing them a big favor by keeping the conversation on what will the Republicans do about him, instead of what will Democrats do about him.
By staying the course in lock-step with what Obama wants, the Democrats are taking themselves down. We should be less focused on Obama and more on the fix his party is in.
Theyre going to lose big in 2014, and theyre in dire jeopardy for 2016. Their money has always come from the fact that they have the for sale sign out, as their constituencies dont have any money. Those who would purchase favors or buy protection will cease donating when they see the light. If we play offense instead of defense, we can get them to see theyre placing bad bets.
What are we going to do about him? No, what are YOU going to do about him?
“President Biden” ... LOL ...
Just one charge?
Anyone?
The “refutation” so far has been “she’s a racist”.
Kinda like “shut up, he explained”.
No. He’s counting on the media backlash to boost him like Clinton. The only way he can save his presidency and the democrats is fighting impeachment as the savior and messiah of the downtrodden and oppressed.
Will 2/3 of the Senate vote to convict? Not a chance. So it will backfire on the GOP just as it did when they tried to impeach Bubba.
I think the ultimate question might turn out to be: “Regardless of the “conviction” vote, has the impeachment process grabbed the “boy-wonder’s” attention.
My forecast is...NO; and therein lies the dilemma of impeachment.
Don’t get down bro.
On the bright side, the tea party is probably growing exponentially every day the GOP dithers on impeachment.
Much better strategy, and one that the press is likely to pick up on.
“What are Democrats going to do to reign in this imperial president?”
They didn’t try to impeach Clinton. They did impeach him. But you’re right. The “trial” that Trent “Vacant” Lott held was designed to hurry up and get it over with. Imagine if a trial judge said “the jury can read the grand jury report, so we don’t need witnesses and testimony. You all just read it and then vote.” I can only imagine what kind of “trial” Harry Reid would stage.
Will 2/3 of the Senate vote to convict? Not a chance. So it will backfire on the GOP just as it did when they tried to impeach Bubba.
++++
I agree with that. But OTOH, talking it up is still useful. So we should all continue to support Palin.
Waste of effort. GOP should work on getting elected to the Presidency.
Their house of cards is beginning to collapse--from the inside. Too much hubris is bad for one.
Perhaps a little patience was all that was needed.
Cold beer and popcorn, y'all?
Yep...I see on the news every day how the Tea Party is taking to the streets by the hundreds and thousands, demanding smaller government, repeal of Obamacare, and so on.
Wait, no I don't. That's file footage of 2009 and 2010. The Tea Party is doing nothing of consequence. It needs to get back out in the streets, get loud, get visible, and get MAD AS HELL again!
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Obama is killing the Democrat Party. My wife just came back from a trip and told me how angry the people were that she encountered. The Democrats are angry because they are realizing that the President they elected is a mess. Anger begets questioning. Questioning Democrats will no longer be Democrats.
Plus it would give the dems a rally cry. They'll bring up the same old ones the closer the election gets, but an impeachment of the first "black" (which he is not) Prez is a democrat pols dream.
Not unless/until we take the senate. It would be futile now.
God job. It’s getting hot in the kitchen. Of course Obama has never even found where the kitchen is nor does he know what is supposed to be done in there.
