RINO boneheads like Jeb Bush are happy to tell you how we need to get past 'nostalgia' for the (toweringly successful) Reagan era and move-on... but the same ossified Gee-Oh-Pee fossils now think it's a good idea to bring up the (unpopular) Bush era when we're already doing well in the polls?

Although 'dissatisfied', I'm not one of those rabid Bush-haters-- not any more than any other RINO, anyway. I think he's a decent guy, loves the country, and in his heart he meant well. Of Bush family, he's easily the most likable guy. Spent way too much money and made a couple strategic mistakes (particularly occupation of Iraq)... that's all.

But what exactly is the point of attempting to burnish the Bush family name in run-up to a very important midterm election? Why even bring them up unless they're already pimping Jeb- I'm sure other registered Republicans out there got the same email, linking them to this 'buy your W shirt here' page.

But even if I did really 'miss' W, and if I did want to buy the stupid T-shirt, 

I don't think I would be able to get one (before they pop-up on ebay): like many of you, I swore off direct donations to the GOP years ago, and would never send these disingenuous bastards one thin dime- (even if they had the coolest Ted Cruz T-shirt ever devised).

Until Reagan Revolution II has shaken their ranks clean of the current crop of unprincipled nothings, that is....

Right now, the battle to be President Warren’s token opposition appears to be between Bush and Romney. But I wouldn’t count out a perennial doormat like McCain, or a wanna-be doormat like Christie. Should both Bush and Romney falter, the GOP will take another look at these willing and eager losers.

The only thing that is certain is that any competent conservative challenger will face a united front, comprised of Democrats, Republicans, and the media (not to mention certain branches of our government), and will be squashed by this meat grinder at any any cost.

All the while, a certain and unfortunately large number of otherwise conservative voters and pundits will believe that supporting the GOP’s token loser is the best available strategy.

Right now, there are only long-shot, and no-shot, strategies. The only hope of reversing the leftward lurch in this country is to recognize the difference. There is no path by which a Romney/Bush nomination would reverse or even slow down the takeover of this country by the radical and malevolent left. It has zero chance of moving the country one inch back towards what it was for the first 200 years.

We need more than politics for sure, but I hope that less than violence will achieve change.

Its crazy right now when I consider children are being used by the enemy to drive their agenda forward.

Sorry, folks. I believe JEB! will be the next president regardless of our antipathy toward him. The fix is in.

That's true if we have five or more primary candidates who are considred to be conservative and then Jeb and one or two lesser known RINOs.

But things could be unfixed if conservatives coalesced around one or two candidates early in the primaries.

Honestly, given the fact that Republican voters have renominated Cornyn, Graham, McConnell, and (although clearly fraudulently) Cochran, I have little confidence that there are enough people who are both conservative, and willing/able to see the bigger picture, to do anything. That equation must change, and it is a necessary prerequisite for any kind of success. Principled conservatives cannot fight a multi-front battle against a unified media, Democrats, and Republicans.

The reason that the willing accomplices of the left hold such a stranglehold on the party is because they have perfected the big lie: that they are electable, and that they are imperfect opponents of the left. They are neither. They have zero appeal to independent voters, and to blue collar democrats, and they offer only token opposition. But, unfortunately, many believe this big lie.

I believe that the only path which will lead to success has to begin with the Republicans getting trounced in this mid-term election. It is going to take a Brazil-like defeat to shake up the Republican voters who, despite good intentions, are playing right into the hands of the people trying to take over the country. It is only then that the big lie can be shattered.

From there, principled conservatives will be in a much better position to wrestle the party, from the ground-up, from the hands of people like the Harry Reid Republican doppelganger (Mitch McConnell). It is a long-shot. A very long shot. But anything that doesn't start there is a non-starter.

Acts of civil disobedience (etc.) will gain nothing except the sneering contempt of the two national parties and the media. Any public support that it gains will be swamped by the onslaught of propaganda against such a movement. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the left would welcome such movements, since it would provide ample "evidence" to further their hold on the low-information voters.

Remember Mississippi, and remember that while the Republican party is not our only enemy, it is an enemy that, as long as it exists in its current form, renders all other options moot.
