When Comrade Bill de Blasios band of revolutionary socialists took control of Americas largest city the outcome was predictable. Makers would move out; takers would move in and crime would go up.
Because they represent criminals, the Blacks and Hispanics in the City Council demanded an end to Stop, Question and Frisk the very effective tool for reducing gun related crimes in the city of New Yorks worse neighborhoods. Because they run the City now, these people got what they demanded and surprise, surprise things are not going as they thought. Now these Comrades are outraged about rising crime rates in THEIR hoods. Since their Stop, Question and Frisk victory isnt at someone elses expense, they dont like it.
As another notable America-hater has said, The chickens are coming home to roost! And crime is climbing in their neighborhoods.
In the brief few months since the end of Stop, Question and Frisk crime in Black and Hispanic neighborhoods has gone up 7% because the criminals who hunt in them are...

Gee, there’s a surprise.
They never see it coming. That’s why they’re called “low-information voters.”
From the western mountains and desert all I can say is “so sad”.
B-I-N-G-O!
And the murder/crime rate will go up as a consequence. NY will become venezuela on the hudson, or the east coast version of south side chicago. Don’t even think of calling them Detroit though. The police chief there told the citizens to arm themselves to the teeth, and the result is that the violent crime rate is dropping through the floor. Armed citizens are safe citizens.
That town will be screaming for another Guiliani next time around- just like he cleaned up Dinkins’ mess
Me and some friends where in Times square last night to see a Devo concert (remember them) and we had a 2 hour wait on line before the doors opened, so we thought we would get a beer and drink it while we waited on line, just small cans of beer, one each- a legal product bought legally, in a paper bag. And guess what happened? That’s right Mr. Officer gave us tickets. Mind you this was on 44th street, mere feet away from the area where a Muslim was allowed to stop his car - I say “stop” because parking is “strictly forbidden” - stop this car that was loaded with explosives, and flee after which cops completely ignored it until a guy selling tee-shirts wondered why smoke was coming out the windows and had to run down the block to get a mounted cop to check it who I heard took his time. But me drinking a 12 ounce can of Bud in a paper bag gets harassed. Like I said many times: NYC = North Korea but with food. The Dear Leader will bust your nuts for mundane crap, but the terrorists? The illegals? Any and all enemies of the USA? They get to do what the hell they want.

And where does it end? Kansas just loosened up it's carry laws recently and I heard some suburban KC police chief talk about how that would mean retraining his officers on how they approach and talk to people. So what if his suburb enacted a stop, search, and frisk aimed at reducing gun violence? Or Wichita? Or Topeka? Say that they passed a law saying that police could stop you at any time, ask if you were carrying, and if you were then ask you to show your carry permit? All the while questioning you about your intentions? And say at the end of the year the police pointed to a 5% drop in homicides and said, "See? It's working."
How would "Coach Collins" feel about that?
Except that any smart person will have moved out of New York by then
Well that is a crying shame, you got what you asked for and now have to live with the consequences. Guess you need to be more careful of what you wish for.
What’s the saying? “Before you tear down a fence, be sure you know why it was put up in the first place.”
That's an echo of what Victor Hanson wrote about in California, where the authorities go after the law-abiding people for little crap while letting the illegals run rampant.
Everybody hates Bill de Blasio. When he walks into a Wal-Mart, the Greeter says, “Go to hell”.
What kind of man makes up his own name and puts a “de” in it?
$$$$$$$$$$
They can get fine money out of the lawful folks.
It’s only the little creatures that get caught in the web. The bigger ones break right through. But the civic overlords get to act like they’ve done something for the city by writing a ticket like that for you.
Lucky for you that you were not drinking a big gulp soda. You would already be on Rikers Island
