For the 21st consecutive quarter the US economy has failed to live up to the Obama Administrations promised improvement. The revised GDP for the January-March period of 2014 showed a 1% decline. The vaunted recovery from the Great Recession remains elusive.
Jason Furman, Chairman of the Presidents Council of Economic Advisers, attributed the decline in GDP to bad weather, which he blamed on GOP resistance to the Presidents efforts to curb global climate change.
In one sense, bad weather can just be bad luck, Furman suggested. The Soviet economy was hammered year-after-year by an incredible streak of bad weather from the 1920s through the 1980s. If a country like the old USSR with a totally unified consensus on economic policy could suffer such misfortune, there ought to be more sympathy for President Obamas frustration with an uncooperative Congress.
The real issue here is persistent GOP obstruction of the Presidents agenda, Furman maintained. With each passing day the GOPs behavior is forcing him toward taking unilateral action to bypass their blockade. While those wed to strict adherence to Constitutionally delegated powers will complain, I, for one, will welcome this bold adventure into a new form of governance for this country.

Short, not witty IMO, bizarre actually. Bad Monday?
The development of a Fascist State like Hitler had in 1930s Germany, and what Obama almost has now in the nearly former USA, depends upon opposition leaders who refuse to lead the opposition, but continue to stay in power by support of their morally weak supporters.
The last attempt to oppose Obama failed when Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and McCain caved in to the stonewalling refusal to negotiate by Reid and Obama in late 2013 and early 2014.
Until effective voter pressure can be brought to bear on the Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate to replace the Republican Leadership in the House and Senate, Obama will continue to Fundamentally transform the United States of America into the most powerful Fascist Empire that the World has ever known.
Will these opposition Congressmen and women act before the November 2014 Election, or will they continue to wait to lose again, as usual, to the Left Wing, low information Voter in November, 2014?
BTW, money and reason are wasted on multimillionaire career politicians as they cannot be bought or convinced - - - they are the hardened professional criminal politicians that we have, for decades, elected and tolerated, gratefully for the free stuff that they have bought our votes with.
Obama is just doing as he was raised up to do, and will never change.
Our opposition Republican Leaders are doing everything that they can to make sure Obama is successful, and they will never change.
The change must come from opposition House Members and Senators in both parties, before low-information voters have made up their minds about whether or not to continue the status quo.
The Summer of 2014 is the last chance for We, the People to force our House and Senate Members to change their leadership before Labor Day, 2014, when early voting begins?

Today John’s satire has a different twist:
The first 2 lines are true.
The next 2 lines are the justifications we might expect from this administration.
They reflect what the WH actually believes, but are unwilling to say out loud.
Yet, the customary labels remain the same. All I’m saying is that it isn’t the usual and frankly, not worth reading.
