Agreed. Makes sense. Thanks so much for posting this!
Winston Churchill called Jews, ..the most formidable and the most remarkable race which has ever appeared in the world.
This too^^^
Anecdotally, a friend of mine married a Jewish girl and made the same observation to me (first time I ever encountered that particular concept)...this was years ago, pre-internets.
I'm wondering how much of it comes from a desire for a strong central government, as a protector of Jews. Somewhat how during the Middle Ages the safest position was to be a Court Jew to the King or a nobleman.
Speaking of which, the 1917 Bolshevik revolution in Russia that brought so much suffering to the people of Russia, including Jews, was in fact a Jewish revolution. Based upon socialist theories developed by a Jewish philosopher and economist, Karl Marx, the principal inspiration, organization, and driving power of the revolution came from Jewish leaders. Most of them changed their Jewish names to Russian ones to conceal their Jewishness, such as Trotsky (Bronstein), Zinoviev (Apelbaum), Kamenev (Rosenfeldt), Sverdlov (Rubenstine), Larine, Uritsky, Steclov (Nakhamkes), all of whom later assumed major positions in Lenins government. In effect, Jews founded and shaped the Soviet state. Yet these same Jewish Bolsheviks quickly became the first victims of the Soviet state. Over the next twenty years, by 1937, practically all of them had become targets of Stalins repressions and were executed or murdered abroad, like Leon Trotsky. Still, they would not abandon their devotion to socialism.
Calling the Russian Revolution a "Jewish revolution" is a gross exaggeration (and one that Hitler liked to claim). Many of the Russian Bolsheviks were either Jewish or of Jewish ancestry, but the majority were not. Aside from Trotsky, the others named in this paragraph were minor players. And it is not hard to imagine why many Jews supported the Russian Revolution, because the Tsarist governments of Russia were virulently (and very often violently) antisemitic.
Jews passionately supported and continue to admire FDR, who denied entry for Jews seeking asylum from Nazi extermination just before World War II. The most telling is the tragedy of the German ocean liner MS St. Louis, whose captain, Gustav Schroder, tried to save 937 German Jewish refugees after they were denied entry to Cuba, by bringing his ship to Miami only to learn that the U.S. refused his Jewish passengers a safe harbor.
True, but only because U.S. immigration laws did not permit any more refugees to enter.
Yes indeed. Been researching this issue for a long time.
From the article (boldface added):
Jews passionately supported and continue to admire FDR, who denied entry for Jews seeking asylum from Nazi extermination just before World War II. The most telling is the tragedy of the German ocean liner MS St. Louis, whose captain, Gustav Schroder, tried to save 937 German Jewish refugees after they were denied entry to Cuba, by bringing his ship to Miami only to learn that the U.S. refused his Jewish passengers a safe harbor. Finally the Jews were accepted by various European countries and eventually ended up in Auschwitz and Sóbibor, where half of them perished. By refusing to allow Jews to enter the United States Roosevelt offered Hitler a propaganda coup: justification of the persecution of Jews. The Nazis could say that they were not alone in their hatred of Jews; the rest of the world, and especially the United States, did not want them either. Nevertheless, Jews voted for FDR and still love himafter all, the New Deal was a giant step toward socialism.
Yes, I read that paragraph. But Roosevelt didn’t allow that ship to land because the immigration quotas set by Congress for that year had already been filled.
Funny how the most bigoted politicians who are Anti-Jew are Democrats & leftists. Even the existence of Israel is a boil on their skin.
Yet, we have nothing but Hellenized Jews voting in massive waves for the Dems. This fact is more puzzling than white guilt.
That’s a real question.
That is a little overly neat isn't it?
Wikipedia describes it as long line of Rabbis, with Rabbis on both sides of the family, and Karl's mother being Jewish, and his father having converted to avoid persecution, but also choosing a Jewish wife, who did not convert.
A quick internet search tells me that that paragraph is another thing the author got wrong. The St. Louis never even attempted to enter the U.S., because the Immigration Act of 1924 barred those refugees; the ship was turned away from Cuba and Canada before being returned to Europe.
The Jewish vote has always been anti-republican, since long before that, and in fact, when they could find a party to the left of the big eastern city democrats, then they went with it, for instance in 1920 America, the Socialist party won 38% of the Jewish vote, while only winning 3% of the overall vote.
In regards to the Saint Louis and Jews in Europe and FDR, he just kept doing better among Jewish voters.
“1939 letter found, plea to FDR to save Jewish kids”
That was in 1939, as was the St. Louis, FDR won 82% of the Jewish vote in 1932, 85% in 1936, 90% in 1940, and 90% in 1944.
Catholics voted for FDR 85% in 1932, 81% in 1936, 73% in 1940, and 73% in 1944.
Protestants barely voted for him in 1932 and 1936 and voted against him in 1940 and 1944.
Marx was not raised as Jewish; he never considered himself Jewish; and he railed against Jews and Judaism in his writings, especially in his antisemitic essay “On the Jewish Question.” He was certainly of Jewish ancestry, but calling him a “Jew” is something Hitler did.
Not really, blacks switched in a single election, until 1932 they voted one way, and then switched to the opposite in 1936.
Conservative democrats switched fairly quickly.
The Jews are not voting liberal because of habit.
If he was a positive historical figure, you would have a difficult time proving that he wasn’t Jewish, in fact, you would be attacked for denying it.
Are American Jews genetically programmed and immune to politics, and American life?
Don't you think they are just people who keep up with the news and the issues of the day, and vote accordingly?
Libertarianism isn’t much of a change, it is a leftwing ideology that supports conservative economics, an oxymoron, because social liberalism is anti-God, anti-American, anti-conservative, and breeds more liberal voters, it dooms conservative economics, and only leads to larger government and social programs.
Exactly! I was going to make the same very important point. (There's more than enough anti-Semitism out there without having Marx falsely thrown around as a purported "Jew".)
Although I'm in general agreement with the posted Alex Markovsky piece, there are some other errors of fact and history in it that could stand correction:
(1)"Social justice," a term devised by Marx himself, does NOT square with the traditional Jewish concept of charity (to be given by the Jew privately to those (mainly Jewish) less fortunate. The traditional Jewish concept of charity is NOT a governmental function. Nor does the Jewish concept of "justice" mesh with the Marxist "social justice" concept. The traditional Jewish concept is of "righteous" justice, not of a centralized coercive government robbing one person to give to another to make for (false) "equality."
(2) Contrary to the posted piece, the large majority of Jews in Nazi Germany did NOT vote for the Nazi Party.
(3) Though the percentage of Jews in the original Soviet government exceeded the percentage in the general population, it's quite an exaggeration to call the Russian Revolution of 1917 a "Jewish Revolution." In fact, the regime was marked by anti-Semitism from its onset.
(4)To state that "Republicans do not care about Jewish interests because Jews do not vote for them regardless..." is bordering on insanity. Even in 2012, about a third of all Jewish voters voted Republican, even according to 'Rat-run polls. Maybe the writer never saw the GOP presidential primary debates, the GOP national convention, or the GOP platform, but there were obviously appeals there to pro-Israel voters, Jewish and Christian. The Democrats, by contrast, couldn't even agree that Jerusalem was Israel's capital.
