Building a platform on a lie; the GOP is getting ready to insure the next president is a Democrat
Coach is Right ^ | 5/16/14 | Kevin "Coach" Collins

There are people who believe Elvis is alive and there are those who insist that the phases of the moon effect human conduct; then there are those who believe kowtowing to Hispanics will bring Republicans victory in 2016.

The fact that many people believe these things doesn’t make them true. While the first two are harmless fairytales believed by supermarket tabloid readers, the third is a dangerous lie believed by far too many decision makers in the Republican leadership.

Like the first two, the supposed connection between capturing the Hispanic vote and insuring victory for Republicans cannot be defeated with evidence that contradicts it.

Even in the face of a mathematical formula showing Mitt Romney could have won 70% of Hispanic votes and still lost, the GOPe will not give up the fairytale they believe.

Now “just” 18 months before the next presidential election the Republican hierarchy are beginning to show signs...

Its amazing how often they get away with duping their voter base.

Too true — I find it kind of disheartening when people claim [basically] that a;; we have to do is vote Republican* to fix things.
(* Like there would be much [any?] difference between a Romney [or McCain] presidency and Obama's — none of the three care a whit about the Constitution.)

“Call them the ‘uniparty’, the Ruling Class, whatever - state control and unlimited power is what the Democrats and the Republicans in fascist cooperation with big business are all about.”

Yes, they are all totalitarians who seek power and wealth. I’m happy that some of us realize it.

IF GOP lets a Democrat win the White House—because they blew it a 3rd Time—The Republican party needs to die a slow death—and replaced by some USIP.

We frequently refer to Boehner and the rest as stupid, but I think they know that there is not a scintilla of truth in the claim that amnesty will bring more votes to the GOP. That nonsense is just the cover story.

The GOPe is on the pro-illegal train in order to cash in on something. Not sure what that something is, but I just don’t buy into the argument that they really believe immigration “reform” will get them votes.

In a rational world, having the GOP lose the mid-terms because of their pathetic “outreach” to Hispanics would provide them the needed wakeup call to their electoral future after supporting amnesty.

But this isn’t a rational world; it’s the GOP.

One - Big Business likes illegal illiterate Mexican labor. They make money from it. They give that money to politicians. GOP Politicians are beholden to money from big business moreso than the Leftists who are beholden to ideology are.

Two - The Ruling Class knows where the power is going to lie in the new order - and they will do anything to share in it. Judeo-Christian American Conservatism is being destroyed - and government is going to be the god of a post-Constitutional, post-American nation. Therefore they are going to do anything and everything to ensure a seat for themselves in that power.

Three - A permanent slave dependency class will always support that which it worships for provisions. The Ruling Class considers government to be that deity, and therefore all principles and loyalty is to the establishment, protection and growing that Beast.

All civilizations collapse. All Republics fall into debt, chaos and dictatorship before annihilation. We're simply trodding over old worn paths that came before us.

Young people are addicted to the MSM and to social networks.

Ones who MAY have understood and voted Repulican have been hijacked... they are lured away by the cheesy glitz and shallow flash of populist BS.

The deck is really stacked against Conservatism.

I couldn’t agree more with you. People are attracted to the idea of being taken care of, given freebies, and promises of utopia. They want to live on Easy Street.

This naivete, greed and laziness is putting us on a destructive path and things will only worsen over time UNTIL it all eventually blows up. Then....the country will look to real leadership to get us out of the mess.

I believe the something is cheap labor — in particular they're striving to create what is, in effect, a slave caste.
This benefits their big corporation sponsors as well as allows them to build little fiefdoms.

I’ve said before, if “immigration reform” gets passed, minimum wage becomes a huge issue for the Democrats. Because it will drive down wages to the point that the public will demand that politicians “do something”. And talking about how it will kill entry level jobs won’t persuade anyone because those jobs will be going to foreigners anyway. So the Dems will offer raising the minimum wage to 12 or 15 an hour to “save the middle class”, and what will the GOP-e have to offer? Nada.

“They both have the same agenda, because they are the exact same thing- government.”

Sad but true. And power corrupts. To the point that the Constitution and our founding fathers’ warnings are forgotten.

Unfortunately, in cases like that, despotism knows only too we’ll how to disguise itself as “real leadership” .

Spoiled, I’ll-educated and lazy mobs won’t know or care how
to make the critical distinction and ALL of us will be trapped in THEIR nightmare.

I can swing by on my way east.

Of course, last time I suggested that you got married.
Time before that you got stinking drunk and threatened me.

So my dropping by obviously isn’t something you have ever desired.

You do your very best to discourage me, in every way imaginable.
