First, please allow me to qualify my remarks by saying that I myself am a 'half and half', obama look-a-like individual.
A lot of times, no matter how politically correct I try to make my thoughts come across, to some .. it just doesn't matter!
Now to my rant?
I was listening to espn this afternoon (my bad) when all of a sudden the host went on a tirade.
Of course it was all about the Donald Sterling fiasco!
Without going into all the details let me just say that after the host's complete, politically correct .. I am a white guy who is offended tirade, he went on to call on an 'expert' on civil rights and racism .. Al Sharpton!
Al Sharpton thinks that a suspension and fine is not enough for Sterling, Sharpton wants to dismantle the Clippers and put all of the players up for a draft!
As expected, Nothing about Sharptons affinity for racism!
I am wondering .. did anyone else hear this show today?
What happens if I say racist remarks about Whites?
What happens if I make racist remarks against Blacks?
I live in both worlds but find myself defending my White half much more often than my black half!
Can you be a racist if you are half and half? 8)
I believe that the world should be neutral!
You don't like blacks then that is a personal choice and there shouldn't be a 'penalty' for saying so!
Same goes if you don't like whites, hispanics, asians etc. etc.
We got Hate Crimes laws passed because people found the way an individual 'Thinks" is offensive!
I, for one am tired of the White Guilt society that liberals have created.
Live and let live!

you mean the espn that, aside from former athletes, there is probably about two or three white, Christian males as anchors or reporters?
You don’t have do defend anybody, you do what is right.
You get points for that.
There’s a widow who lives at the end of McKee St. in State College, PA who - to this day - wonders what she or her family did wrong. If espn doesn’t care about what they did to her, why would you think they would care about an nba owner?
It’s all about the clicks and the money.
****Sterling is a wackadoo, and most likely a despicable person.
I wonder how long it will take liberals to realize that Donald Sterling is a lifelong Democrat(not a big time donor) but lifelong lib..and for ESPN to bring on Sharpton is despicable..Sharpton is a racist, same goes for Jesse Jackson(Who even though he hates white people, still has time to bang Tamera Holder)
He does? He loves Paula Deen.
Well Paula Deen is a liberal, therefore she is immune from being called a racist
Nice rantity. You did good.
A warm welcome to Free Republic.
I love your spirit!
You fortunately passed muster with humblegunner, so you're in like Flynn.

Funny i miss the hunt for that missing jet
Can you elaborate on what you posted just curious
Sharpton wants money and nothing else.
Maybe they can ask Sharpton what he thinks happened to it..by the way off topic, SO happy to hear that you are feeling better and that your gonna be OK
Thank you very mucho
Welcome to FR. Chit/chat is fine for these types of topics. I stopped watching ESPN some time agon. I had no idea, until a few years back, that sportscasters are just as liberal and stupid as other members of the media. Well, this will get lumped in with the Redskins name issue, eventually. You can expect Outside the Lines to do a story on the “racism” of team owners and how best to punish them.
Maybe he's just trying to save up some extra scratch so he can pay the IRS the million$ in back taxes he owes before some SWAT teams surrounds his house with 200 armed agents to collect the debt. Surely Obama hit him up for it when they were arm-in-arm together at the last fundraiser.
