The National September 11 Memorial Museum will be showing a film called The Rise of Al Qaeda when it opens next month. The film tries to explain the roots of the terrible attacks and why radical Islamists killed so many people that terrible day.
In an attempt to get feedback from the Muslim community on the film, which portrays Al Qaeda as radical Islamists who were on a jihad against the United States, the museum showed The Rise of Al Qaeda to an interfaith advisory group of clergy members. This group included Muslim leaders.
After seeing the short film, which only lasts seven minutes, the panel universally lambasted it. At the heart of their criticisms were the portrayal of Al Qaeda as radical Islamists who believed their interpretation of their religion led them to kill civilians.
The screening of this film in its present state would greatly offend our local Muslim believers as well as any foreign Muslim visitor to the museum, wrote Sheikh Mostafa Elazabawy, the imam of Masjid Manhattan.
He continued, Unsophisticated visitors who do not understand the difference between Al Qaeda and Muslims may come away with a prejudiced view of Islam, leading to antagonism and even confrontation toward Muslim believers near the site.

I still find 911 deeply offensive.
If you dont stop playing that movie that depicts us as all as blood thirsty savages that kill civilians we will send a suicide bomber to kill civilians Said Mohammad Mohammad the goat lover and senior spokesperson for CAIR
In the words of that Socialist Profit , Nazi Pelousey :
ATTENTION MUSLIM LEADERS: Go home and pound sand.
The infidel is forever too unsophisticated to understand the most explicit distinction between Islamic terrorist would-be world conquerers and Muslims who wish to live in peace with people of all creeds and abide by their host countries’ laws.
That’s probably because the distinction depends on the situation far more often than it does on the person.
‘Those who attacked our country were actually very nice fellows” - is that what they want it to read? Molon Labe.
Anyone deeply offended should be deeply deported.
All Muslims may not be alqueda...but they all have the same motto...”Kill All the Christians and Jews”.
After seeing the short film, which only lasts seven minutes, the panel universally lambasted it.
This was "an interfaith" panel (so the story says in the preceding paragraph), which I take to mean there were non-Muslims on it. The non-Muslims were offended too? Really? I think we may be dealing with even worse-than-usual sloppy reportage here. That, or the members of the other faiths were selected by virtue of being very weak in their faiths and fell to Muslim group-think. The outcome of this "panel discussion" was pre-ordained.
Aaaaaaaaa shaddap!
Stick it up you @$$You camel humping, rag head pedophoiles.
Couldn’t find any by the kenyan president?
The “Muslim leader” was expecting a “flatering” review of AQ in a 9-11 museum?
No.
Even he is not that stupid.
Instead, he’s using it as all race baiters and anti-Christian activist do.
Pretend they are the victim, in an attempt to intimidate us from citing them as the criminals.
“Deeply offensive, Islamaphobic, stop it or we’ll hold our breath until ...” The A-rabs learned these tactics from the NAACP and San Fransicko knob-polishers.
Sweetpea and I say, “It’s spinach and to hell with it and to hell with the Sunni savages.”
Don't remember any of them protesting Bin Laden being given an Islamic burial at sea.
He's right that the above dichotomy is unsophisticated. It's a little more nuanced than that.
There are three types of Muslims.
1) Terrorists, like al Qaeda, Boko Haram, and other groups, who will murder and/or perform acts of intimidation against the infidel when given the chance. They are more numerous than we probably realize.
2) Enablers who might not perform the hideous acts themselves but will provide funding, sanctuary, and cheer on the actions. Any Muslim who will not loudly condemn the terrorists falls into this group and represents the largest majority of Muslims. Terrorist groups could not easily exist if these Muslims would cooperate with law enforcement and/or military authorities to rid the world of this plague. The critics of the exhibit fall into this group.
3) Decent Muslims whose conscience have not yet been suppressed by the teachings of Islam and still recognize that sin, even if supposedly in the pursuit of religious objectives, is wrong. This small, small minority is willing to speak out against the atrocities.
I am certain of one thing. The "corrected" display will be far further from the truth than the current one.
Watch and weep. You will understand.
