My daughter shoots expertly with her SW 686 357 magnum with 6” bbl. I brought one of her range targets to her with the works, “Think Twice, this could be YOU!” so that she could tape it up on the inside of one of her rear windows facing outward where a burglar would likely try to enter....

In this country, once the other Tangos saw Number One down, they’d be high tailing their a$$ right on out of there.

My favorite is simple:

That one is perfect but sadly the crooks wouldn’t get it!

This slowed down the curious coming down our 1/2 mile private road after multiple “No Trespassing” signs:
WARNING! SMALL ARMS FIRE
PRACTICE 24x7x365!
TRESPASS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

While I respect everyone’s view on what works best for them, I prefer to not compromise my operational advantage, much in the same way that I wouldn’t advertise that I’m carrying concealed. Part of my situational advantage is not showing my readiness to those that would “expect” me to be unarmed. Just my take on it.....

My favorite was a sign on a cash register in Macon, Georgia:
PREMISES PROTECTED BY SMITH & WESSON
BTW: In the 1970’s I lived in a “Mafia” neighborhood in Brooklyn. If a stranger walked or drove into the neighborhood there were always a few young men in tank tops carrying baseball bats ready to interview the stranger and verify intensions. Street crime and breaks in were unheard of.

My brother and I went shooting and he had nice grouping on his silhouette target and when he got home he taped it to his front door.

That’s not a new sign to me. My gunsmith has had a sign identical or similar to it for years.

I remember seeing one north of Tampa that read: No Trespassing! Violators Will Be Autopsied.
Of course these days, autopsied may not be understood by the graduates of our fine public schools.

Actually the dog is a big worry. Especially when she is one of the feared breeds. A decent dog makes too much noise, raises awareness before intrusion, and doesn’t hesitate to strike if the perp is insistent.
The gun is a mere back-up to the Shepherd.

Well, we always applied the rule of three. No matter how many tangos there are, usually if the first one to aggressively move or talk and the two closest to him/her are down, the rest will run. That’s why I need a magazine (and I don’t mean Time).
