The left loves to cry racism whenever someone disagrees with them. They love to cry racism even more when conservatives dare to attempt to speak to minorities or try to fix problems that disproportionately affect minorities. Crying racism deters conservatives from trying to work with minorities or fix problems, thus perpetuating the leftist lie that conservatives dont care about minorities. In fact conservatives care a great deal about minorities and are troubled by the problems facing them. Our solutions are obviously different from the lefts. Were nearly fifty years into President Johnsons Great Society welfare program and poverty isnt down in minority communities. Perhaps it might be time for some new ideas because progressive programs arent working for anyone, much less minorities.

What seems to have caused you to excerpt your own blog, Leo?
He can’t count hits on his blog if you read it on FR.
That’s why they call it ‘blog-pimping’...
Here’s how it goes -
You hear about Free Republic somewhere.
You go to the site, you read some articles, you read some replies.
You feel compelled to post a response to an article or post,
so you sign up.
You comment on posted articles for quite a while before you actually post an article from another source.
After you’ve been here for a considerable time and gained a good reputation, then you can post your own work.
This is called a “vanity post” around here.
That’s FR etiquette. You don’t sign up last week and post your own articles.
Would it be the same rules if Sarah Palin or Rush Limbaugh did the same as Leo?
What if the vanity posting had something worthy to contribute? Are you a mod with Jim Robinson, MrB? Why do you get to set the rules?
Oh, you can point fingers at me all you want. No, those aren’t rules, and I didn’t set them - I observed them.
That’s simply a polite way of approaching FR - like not walking into someone’s house, sitting at their dinner table, and dominating the meal conversation.
So what if he did...he’ll just get the same praise or abuse as anybody else on Freerepublic would get. Besides Freerepublic could do with a little fresh air of creative folks contributing to it...though progressive infiltrators should be zotted!
That would be great if it were posted in full, right here.
Freshly-minted n00bs redirecting FR's traffic to their blogs is a whole different story.
I don’t see that Leo is dominating anything. We want FreeRepublic to make a difference in the wider community, don’t we? We should not be calling ourselves a private dinner table, but rather an open public buffet of conservative principles...yes sometimes with lots of shouting!
confession - I clicked on his blog link just to spite HG.
Does redirecting traffic affect FR’s servers anymore than FR traffic that has to go to another news server because those news sources don’t want FR to publish their full articles on our sites? So a blogger gets a few extra eyeballs...does he have something important to say? Leo might have been castigated for publishing his whole article on FR as one who hasn’t earned the right to post a vanity for no being on FR long enough.
Don’t worry about this Humdinger guy.
He gets off on this stuff.
It is a shame we have to put up with it on FR.
Indeed.
If you aren’t interested in discussing anything other than the content of the article why do you even bother clicking on my threads every day? Surely there are more important things for you to be doing besides whining about the irrelevant.
To see if you've stopped excerpting.
Surely there are more important things for you to be doing
You're important to me too.
Think of it as mentoring.
You go past mentoring
Look at me!!!!!!
I AM IMPORTANT!
I want to be a Mod so bad. (Of course, when I grow up)
Let’s do a little exercise in logic, shall we?
I post about a blogger’s behavior that I dislike. That’s bad.
You post about my behavior that you don’t like.. and that’s ___________?
The answer?
You being a wannabe Mod
I shall use logic on you also
I post an Excerpt to a story because the story is long and you ask me why. I give you an honest answer and you go off on conspiracies and lies.
Excerpts are there for a reason
Come in, make your OCD point then leave.
You go past that.
Go on my post an apologize then I will stop following you.
It is your choice.
Our Bloggers Forum ( http://www.freerepublic.com/tag/bloggers-forum/index ) is open to all liberty-loving bloggers to post their great work to FR. But our readers are mostly interested in reading relevant posts in their entirety on FR without having to click to an unknown outside website where who knows what kind of cookies or tracking devices may await them. And they appreciate it very much when the blog authors join in on the ensuing conversation and become one of us.

Nope. Too much accountability. More fun just being me.
I post an Excerpt to a story because the story is long
Nah, you just wanted to direct traffic to see your donation blog.
Go on my post an apologize
I'm sorry you got busted blogpimping.
I will stop following you.
Follow all you like. In fact, if you go view comments by humblegunner, there is an option to add me to your RSS feed, simplifying the process.
