I'm looking for another Reagan, someone skilled at leading and communicating who can articulate why conservatism is both morally correct and best for everyone willing to do their best. But where can we find someone so extraordinary who will stand up for liberty?

I really like Palin, Paul & Cruz. To me, they are the only ones that could/would actually do what needs to be done. Now whether the idiots in the House and Senate would allow anything they wanted done to actually get done... another story. Congress is the main problem, we really need to clean house there.
To: BRL
The problem is there are too many morons in the GOP fold. That is how we ended up with Romney.

BS. He voted against the amnesty bill in the senare. Look it up.

Paul, Cruz, Palin, West in that order. But any of these 4 will be far better than any of the RINO GOPe Christie Creme/Romney types and a Billion times better than the current Marxist paradigm regime.
Oh...my left voting brother (though he is coming back to his senses after 5+ years of zer0) said Cruz was nuts....when I asked “how so?” He couldn't answer. He is so programmed by the MSM that he just marches to the Koolaid stand.

I said he is for ‘amnesty’. He supports the principle of it.

There are three main factors when it comes to candidate potential: ideology/policy, candidate performance and organization.
I’d weight candidate performance and organization higher than ideology/policy. But not enough to give Chris Christie the nomination ...

That Palin speech at CPAC2014 was classic. That woman can take a punch and bounce back!

I agree with you completely but I don’t see Christie overcoming the scandal. Way too many negatives on that one. BUT ... they will pick another. It will be he and Hildabeast and will not matter one iota who wins.

Paul is a less crazy version of Paul SR.
1. Growing up Paul does he have a hidden Jew problem
2. Most of those CPAC votes came from people who went to CPAC just to vote for Paul. I would not be surprised if Paul pac paid their way since they were young pot heads.
3 Paul is sketchy about his immigration stance. He was in favor of it and saw Rubio got lots of static so Rand didn’t stick his neck out.
4. Is Rand The Sultan of Pot or the Pied Pothead?
5. Are republicans ready for an isolationist.
6. Is Paul in favor of an American military funding to be able to fight 2 simultaneous major wars?

At the moment, we don’t have anyone like that sadly.

So, which Rand Paul are we to believe?
The one who voted against Rubio's Amnesty, or the one who came up with his own Amnesty Plan?
The links below should help you, BarnacleCenturion, look-up his Amnesty plan.
Here are the links, from last year, where Rand Paul clearly lays out his own Amnesty plan for 2 million illegals per year, based on a "Certification" from a Pro-Amnesty congress that the border is "secure". No Fence, No E-Verify, No punishments for ID Fraud, and all the other misdemeanors and felonies committed by the Undocumented Democrats he wants to pardon.

Many have potential, and I could support many.
The issue is who has the organization to realize the potential, or who can develop one in time to be an effective campaign to get on all ballots, to GOTV on the basic political unit level, and who can attract the money to get the message out?
If they are not well on the way to developing that organization, they are not a contender, IMHO.
To: Obama_Is_A_Feminist
I really hate it that I agree with you.

My picks in order of the choices: 1. Other - Mike Pence
2. Scott Walker
3. Rand Paul
4. Ted Cruz
5. Bobby Jindal
6. Marco Rubio
(big gap)
7. Rick Perry - Not bad on issues, but gaffe prone
8. Rick Santorum - Experienced, but gaffe prone.
9. Sarah Palin - Quit
10. Paul Ryan - Very overrated
11. Mike Huckabee - Very fiscally liberal.
12. Chris Christie - Competent, but arrogant and anti-gun
13. Condi Rice - Bush ties and not pro-life
14. Ben Carson - Anti-gun, inexperienced

Thanks. Rand, prior to becoming a senator, brought up ending birthright citizenship via the 14th Amendment.

Carson is a non-starter. He’s pro-gun control.
Ask Bob Dole what an anti-RKBA gun control stance will do to your election chances.
