Game Changer: It Will Be Shocking for the Average American: “Your Cost of Living Will Quadruple”
SHTF Plan ^ | 3/9/14 | Mac Slavo

Posted on 03/09/2014 4:46:47 PM PDT by Kartographer

It’s no secret that the U.S. government is in serious fiscal trouble. So much so that our Treasury Secretary recently noted that should the debt ceiling fail to be increased, the fall-out would be “catastrophic” and last for generations.

Given that sobering report, consider that everything in America, from food to fuel, is subsidized in one way or another. Those subsidies are being paid with ever-increasing debt. It is inevitable that at some point the world’s reserve currency, the US dollar, will be wiped out. The trigger for such an event is irrelevant. What is relevant, is how average Americans will be affected when that day comes.

With that gold piece, people can be hired who will kill for you. Just saying.

If the government doesn’t call in the gold and make it illegal to own or as a medium of exchange. You’ll probably get 15 cents in new script for your ounce of gold. Try spending that all in one place.

OTH, they got to find you and your gold if you don’t comply.

“TP, my FRiend, TP...My gold.”

Someone always brings up toilet paper and I get to write my solution for having lots of wet cloth like cleaner that cleans the bottom better than toilet paper, is flushable if you still have working plumbing, and is cheaper if you get Walmart brand Wet Wipes, and takes up little room for storage for four people for a year - A WHOLE YEAR.

I have two boxes with these cleaner packages stored inside and the storage boxes are not large. I'm trying to remember, but I think the total cost was something like $40. Toilet paper takes up a huge amount of room to store for that many people and I don't have that much room. Now, I don't need all that room - just the two boxes that are easy to store.

You are right that toilet paper/wet wipes will be valuable.

I’m not worried. In case of trouble my government is gonna send me to camp! Yeah, camp - bonfire singalongs, toasted marshmallows, guys in towers making sure we’re all OK...

And warm showers after a fun-filled day of hiking through the woods.

A list of these subsidies would be nice, to prove the author isn't just some idiot hawking gold.

food will triple… heat, electricity, everything subsidized by the government will triple overnight…

Which of these does the government pick up 67% of the cost?

Given that we are now in more debt as a nation and individuals than ever before,

Individuals have been reducing debt.

No, the gold won’t water or feed them so they have no use for it. They will kill for you if you can give them water or food. I don’t plan to have a gang of killers, however.

Well, at 40-something I am thankful that I had the chance to live in and enjoy a period of history that will be known as “America before the democrats/liberals/progressive/****les Detroited it”.

I was thinking that very thing a few days ago and that we're the last who will ever remember freedom and the truly good old days.

Many of us are barely holding on by the skin of our teeth. Forget costs quadrupling, if it goes up mere percentages, it will be the end for many families. We'll be begging to flip burgers just to lick the griddle scrapings and have a warm place to work in for a few short hours. You can't tell me this wasn't all planned years ago by the evil doers in our government.

Show me one year in the past 6000 years when gold had no value.

Just one.

Cut some of the salt in ramen noodles by using half the seasoning package. Save the other half for something else. It still won’t be the healthiest meal, but not as bad.

Anyone who complies with such an order deserves 15 cents an ounce for their gold.

I think you are right. It is a mixed blessing, isn’t it...knowing the quality of life we have, losing it and then living with that knowledge of what once was.

Don’t know about you my FRiend, but I take comfort that there is a better life after this one.

“Show me one year in the past 6000 years when gold had no value. Just one.”

Have as much gold as you want as long as you also have shelter, water, food, way to grow food, security, warmth, cooling, power from some source, ways to cook, medical supplies, hygiene methods, etc..

If the idea is only have gold, in my opinion, that is a serious mistake. In any country that is at war FOR A YEAR or more, and there is little water and food, people are going to keep what water and food they have and not sell you any for gold because they have to keep what they have in order to keep living. To them, your gold has no value and if that war lasts 20 years and there is still little water and food, they still won’t sell you any water and food for gold because they still have to live. So, it is the circumstances that determines the value of gold.

If the SHTF in this country and there is little water and food, don’t come to my house because I don’t want your gold as my water and food is too valuable to sell you any. Plus, why would I want yours when I have my own? You see, it’s not an either or situation.

Wouldn’t the gov’t have to confiscate the profit from oil reserves in order to use it to pay debt?
