Here’s what Carson told Glenn Beck last year, via RCP:
It depends on where you live. I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it. If you live out in the country somewhere by yourself, I have no problem.
Carson offered more on his position a few months ago in an op-ed titled “Why did the founders give us the Second Amendment?”
And yes, one issue that is a CIVIL LIBERTY is big enough to cancel out a campaign.—

Apparently Carson may be a brain surgeon, but he is a complete moron when it comes to the 2A.
A deal killer for me. If you are willing to trample on the 2A, it will not be long before you trample on others.

Carson is a very nice man. He lacks national experiece. Let him continue to be a voice for conservatism. Haven’t we had enough of amateurs? We need a strong leader, one who understands our rights, our Constitution and can fight face to face with the PTB. That would be Ted Cruz. This is not a time to play games. We are in deep trouble as a nation and as a people. We need a strong, unapologetic leader.
....think your close in Carson’s case. To be where he is required 12 years, plus 4 years under-grad, plus 4 years med school, plus 4 years residency and I think there may have been another year or two in there for his specialty, brain surgery.
That’s lots and lots and lots of exposure to liberal mania in academia. I see this in my own soon to be son in law. He’s a non practicing lawyer out of UV and Georgetown. Gonna vote for Hillary he says! I just walk off. Notwithstanding that moronicism, I like him.
Given the last couple of weeks in Detroit, those are the last people who need to have their gun rights restricted.
Some of the guns used for defense have been the scary black ones.
So if we carry Dr. Carson's "It depends on where you live" argument to it's logical conclusion, does that mean that Rosa Parks should have been more sensitive to the feelings of the white people of Montgomery Alabama and simply taken her seat in the back of the bus? After all, she knew that some black people were prone to behave irresponsibly and that some were even crazy. Whites in Alabama were very sensitive to that sort of thing at the time.
Our second amendment rights are as important as Rosa Parks', or Dr. Carson's, 15th amendment rights. It doesn't make any difference where we live.
