The Obama administration is working around the clock to come up with ways to punish Vladimir Putin for invading Ukraine. But will any of them work?
Behind the scenes, Obama administration officials are preparing a series of possible battle plans for a potential economic assault on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine, an administration source close to the issue told The Daily Beast. Among the possible targets for these financial attacks: everyone from high-ranking Russian military officials to government leaders to top businessmen to Russian-speaking separatists in Ukraine. Its all part of the work to prepare an executive order now under consideration at the Obama administrations highest levels.

A helluva lot of other countries will gladly take their oil and gas.
Financial attacks?
Obama’s gonna tax the Russians.
If they don’t stop doing what they are doing, then he is going to impose Obamacare and make them use Healthecare.gov to sign up for it.
That’ll show ‘em.
It worked so well on Iran ...
That requires insight and a thorough understanding of the geopolitical situation. That is asking a lo from the Duffer in Chief and his merry band of nitwits.
He might unleash HealthCare.gov on the Russkies!
He either has more guts than I gave him credit for, or he has some sort of death wish.
Obama plays tiddly-winks while Putin plays 3-dimensional chess.
Maybe if obama wants to punish Putin, he can sens over a bunch of DVD’s of his speeches. Make sure they are in the wrong format too.
Where are these multi-billions coming from? Greece has just demanded an additional $20 billion in aid, most other EU economies are suffering - how will multi-billions in aid for Ukraine go over politically among the economically-strapped EU countries?
As for the US, where will we get the money? More drastic cuts in the defense budget? Large increases in the debt limit?
Teddy Roosevelt said “Walk softly and carry a big stick”. Obama screams shrilly and swings a big purse.
Yeah, take money from the Russian Mafia. That some smart move there, Barky.
Wow, she shamed the boy president. That’s for sure.
“theres only one thing Obama is qualified to squeeze”
Yeah, and it’s probably the same thing that he steps on repeatedly.
Obama is far from being a/the competitor that Putin is. Obama is no Reagan by a long shot. The USA needs another Reagan.
I expect Obama to ban the importation ofcaviar, vodka, and borscht.
***The USA will have to step up and provide all the energy needs necessary to Europe in order to offset any cuts Russia will make as punishment for the EU not giving in to them. We are the top energy producer in the world now. It can be done. Let the Reds eat their oil and gas.***
It is impossible for US suppliers to deliver energy resources to Europe at th same price point as Russia. We can’t even deliver nat gas to Arkansas for what Russia can deliver it to Poland today.
For the US to “punish” Russia will require American taxpayers to underwrite cheap fuel to the EU.
We are broke, that just will not happen.

I feel like I just took a crazy pill.
He's going to target high-ranking Russian military and government and business officials?
What's he going to do next? Target them for a tax audit?
This is B. Hussein Obama's M.O. He targets US military, government and business officials, so he won't have any guilt pangs doing the same to Russians.
Is this his idea of "flexibility?"
And, then there's those two words - "executive orders".............
Good luck - Obama’s spent five years giving our power and prestige away - after all, we’re not exceptional, just equal to everybody else, and we certainly don’t like to push people around with our power and economic influence - he might as well just stay under his desk and give more speeches - and hope people don’t laugh too loudly at him for threatening “costs” over what the Russians have done......
The Coming great battle to the South....Armageddon.
