Remember When Ronald Reagan Was in Congress?… Yeah, You’re Not Alone
Posted by Jim Hoft on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 1:10 PM
The Democrat Party tweeted this out yesterday.
They want to raise the minimum wage like when Reagan was in Congress.
Except that Ronald Reagan never was in Congress.

Whoever tweeted this is ignorant; all he needed to do is Google Reagan congress to find out. These days the truth is often just a mouse click away.
The problem is that the vast majority of liberals will never choose to click. Who knows what might happen if they stepped outside the liberal bubble?

Reagan. He was that old guy, right? Did a few movies with a monkey or something and then became president!
(Hmm. I’m trying to be funny, but even just THAT gave him more experience than obama!)

I took a renewed interest in this event due to random circumstances that started with my "quarter collection"
We used to drive across the bridge at Washington's Crossing when I was a kid, and we joked that the snack stand there was where the Hessians were staying. I thought for a long time that the actual crossing was up river, but I now read that it was very close to the site currently commemerated.
So where were the Hessians? That site is commemerated as the Battle of Trenton by an impressive monument, which I've never seen even though I spent many years in the vicinity, even if I've never to my recollection actually set foot in the city of Trenton.
In fact, I only learned it existed in my recent internet investigation, and the monument has a history of its own.
Washington's crossing of the Delaware has passed into myth for us, but evidently it did happen very much as we imagine it, even if the painting is a little over the top.

Ronald Reagan wasn’t in Congress. Neither was Sarah Palin. Coincidence?

“Coincidence?”
No Way!
Both Reagan and Palin were born in February, under the sign of Aquarius!
After college, Reagan got his start as a sports announcer!
After college, Palin got her start as a sports reporter !
Reagan gave his famous “Time for Choosing” speech in 1964, the very year that Palin was born!!!
