The permanent political class in D.C. won't listen. So, let's start putting our efforts behind good new candidates who will go to Washington not to line their pockets, but to help restore our country. It's time to put inspiration, ingenuity, and integrity over incumbency in the GOP.

Our founders knew that whatever power you give to the federal government can and will be abused. Give the federal government power over issues of murder and abortion and you get what you have now: the government PREVENTING the states from stopping the infanticide. Government has always historically come down on the side of killing, not protecting, its own citizens. The founders were very wise to understand this.

The Constitution gave the federal government the power to protect our lives and liberties from foreign invasion. But the way the Constitution protects our lives and freedoms from domestic violation of life and liberty is to put a short leash on the the separated and enumerated powers of the federal government.

In their wisdom, the founders knew the greatest threat to life and liberty was the government itself. That's why there's nothing in the Constitution delegating power to the federal government concerning individual issues like murder,"high crime", etc. except in the behavior of officials. Constitution leaves things like murder, etc. up to the states. The Constitution does not give the federal government power over any individual (with the one exception of the 11th Amendment against a person owning a slave).

Got a phone call today from “Name Withheld” on my cell phone. The person on the other end asked for me by name and I responded “Who’s calling? - Twice. He then went into a non-stop rant about electing Republicans at all levels nd contributing to the GOP.

That’s when I let him have it with both barrels: “I am not a Republican any more. As long as you have those two idiots, Boehner and McConnell, constantly bad-mouthing Conservatives and TEA Party, I want nothing to do with you.”

Silence, then “OK, well have a good day”.

And if a state legalized murder, it would be taken to SCOTUS and shot down.

Lest we forget that the last several national elections...

Our elected rulers by consent of nobody and the stroke of a pen, disallowed the votes of service members, and other Americans overseas.

I am sorry to say that the whole vote out incumbents, will neither work or produce any change in DC.

The only way things are going to change is by "We the People" collectively saying enough, starve the beast, or revolt.

Every sitting elected official can and should be charged with treason and removed from office.

This is not a party thing it's a treason thing.

God bless SARAH PALIN whom speaks out truth, and is willing to take on criticism and ugly rhetoric.

She has a major following and stands for conservatism, and common sense actions for our REPUBLIC of AMERICA. Let us stand with her. NOW!

AMERICA will get the government it allows ... and deserves if we fail to speak out and stop the take down of America by those that are Socialist or Communist. It is happening NOW!

“They already know they won’t. They have corrupted the electoral system to the degree that our votes mean squat.”

The uniparty controls who can vote, who can run, the electoral process, and then counts the votes.

What could go wrong?

“The problem will be getting conservatives to line up behind one true conservative.”

We already have one. The question is whether she’ll decide to run.

“There is no more time to ‘change’ the GOP.”

The gop faction of the uniparty is actively antagonistic toward change. It exists solely to act as a judas goat for conservatives.

“Their (our) best shot at doing this is invasion and instigation of a coup d’état within the GOP.”

With respect, I don’t see it that way. The gop faction is pathologically resistant to change or reform. It goes against the underlying reason for it’s existence: namely to act as a judas goat for conservatives.

I think we’re better off rejecting BOTH wings of the uniparty and their legacy of duplicity and corruption. This blue flag, red flag crap is exactly that: crap. Better still, why embrace political parties at all? Maybe the founders really WERE right in their aversion to them.

Well, that's what the Tea Party is all about, because it's not a formal political party but a bunch of independent local groups organized to facilitate CUTTING GOVERNMENT and TAXES. However, the vehicle the Tea Party candidates usually ride in is the GOP. Looks like the only other option is running as an "Independent" if not a third party, both of which seem to fail miserably usually becasue of primary issues and ballot issues.

I agree with the sentiments of George Washington about factions - he was a true lover of America, but I'm afraid a bit naive about the nature of men. I also love that the Tea Party eschews the inevitable downfall of centralized political parties - it keeps their eye on the ball: the recovery of American freedom and the free markets. But, again, it seems like the Tea Party needs a reformed GOP as a political vehicle in which to ride.
