The permanent political class in D.C. won't listen. So, let's start putting our efforts behind good new candidates who will go to Washington not to line their pockets, but to help restore our country. It's time to put inspiration, ingenuity, and integrity over incumbency in the GOP.

Politicians WILL NEVER listen if they don't believe they'll be kicked out for lining their pockets and increasing government and taxes. The only language politicians understand is "THROW THE BUMS OUT" if they don't cut government and taxes.

The problem will be getting conservatives to line up behind one true conservative. I say the teaparty have it’s own election without the rinos and come up with one candidate so we dont split the conservative vote.

They already know they won't. They have corrupted the electoral system to the degree that our votes mean squat.

Basically the only way to restore the country is for constitutionally-enlightened voters to exrecise their voting muscle to force corrupt Congress back into its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited power cage. This entails patriots working with their state lawmakers to take back the 10th Amendment-protected state powers that Congress has been wrongly usurping from the states for the last 100+ years.

Sarah, may I suggest you and kindred spirits like Cruz join forces and lead the patriots of today to the formation of a third party? I guarantee tens of millions will follow with their enthusiasm and their checkbook. The window of opportunity is fast closing. There is no more time to ‘change’ the GOP.

You don't even have to become a candidate. Just a handful of your type offering us a real choice can and will change the course we are on - GUARANTEED.

The current Republican party needs to go the way of the Whig Party - extinct.
I grant you that it 'seems' better to vote for the Republicans because they don't outwardly espouse the noxious positions of the Marxist/Godless Democrat party -- but in the end, the existing crop of Republicans in Washington D.C. just go along with the Dems. The Republicans support increasing the size of the already morbidly obese government. They aren't going to advocate for reducing their power and control. They have been in D.C. too long and they aren't going to change.

The Tea Party is smart enough to realize that, as George Washington said, organized and centralized political parties themselves are part of the problem. As with the GOP, centralized political parties quickly move from an agenda of what's best for America to what's best for the political party. So the Tea Party will remain decentralized keeping their focus on the prize: recovery, restoration, and re-establishment of freedom and the Constitution in America. Their (our) best shot at doing this is invasion and instigation of a coup d'état within the GOP.

"Conservatives" need to decide what their priorities are becasue no candidate will 100% what a conservative wants. As far as I'm concerned, recovery, restoration, and re-establishment of freedom and the Constitution in America is by far our #1 political priority. IMO, THAT is what we all should be rallying around. People are way too easily distracted by rabbit-trail issues taking their eye off the ball which is the imminent threat of big, dictatorial government extinguishing our freedoms and our constitution. Every other political issue is chump change IMO.

To be honest, I'm not sure what "conservatives" stand for these days. I used to call myself a conservative but now it's clear to me I'm a libertarian. The word "conservative" implies conserving the status quo. I hate the status quo. I love individual freedom. The free market is not "conservative" but dynamic and ever-changing - you can't harness it and you don't want to. The free market is THE dynamic wealth creator. Blow up government and set the American People free once again and to h**l with the "progressives".

If the Tea Party is strong on the Constitution why doesn’t it demand that Obama get a Congressional formal declaration of war before any military action in Syria or Iran? If they won’t do that, they are just shelf space for the GOP brand.
