This might as well be the slogan Democrats use to get the youth vote

Is it me, or does the rapid growth of those tip jars really tick off anyone else?
They’re EVERYWHERE. And in many places where asking for tips is completely inappropriate.

Our Fed. and State Govts are in the business of redistributing wealth.
The (Dems)socialist's appeal has always been; "Vote for me I will get you someone else's money".
This is hard for any opposition to overcome.
The rest is just a side show. - Tom

I've never understood tip jars at a restaurant counter. I don't give tips for just cooking me food and ringing it up on the register, I give tips for personal service like table service or delivery. Also, if for some reason I decided that the cashier did a spectacular job for me I would want him to get the money instead of just tossing it into a pool for the staff. Is it just an excuse by the boss to pay the kitchen and counter staff $2/hour as tipped employees?

Do the Student Loan Forgiveness protesters and the illegal invaders protesters march with “Gang Members for Gun Control Laws”?

Theyre EVERYWHERE. And in many places where asking for tips is completely inappropriate. ASKING for tips anywhere is inappropriate. It turns a voluntary reward for good service into an extorted payoff to preserve one's reputation

I agree completely. It’s not just on the jars, the tip line shows up on receipts at places where you don’t traditionally tip as well...it’s annoying.
If I have to walk up to you to place an order, and then step aside and stand around and wait on you (as opposed to the other way around, which is how it used to be) then you have no business asking for a tip on the receipt or placing that jar under my nose.

Agreed - I was going to mention the tip line on receipts as well. Very annoying.
The only exceptions I tend to make are for ice cream shoppes. And my favorite local sandwich joint.
