Obamas Choice for Surgeon General is Anti-Gun Activist February 11 2014 by Dan Cannon Share This Post
Emily Miller over at the Washington Times has done a nice write up on why President Obamas choice for surgeon general is a nightmare for gun rights in America.
Dr. Vivek Murthy has proven himself to be anti-gun at several turns, though he has so far side stepped answering questions about his stance on gun rights to concerned senators.
According to Millers article (hit the link to read the whole thing, its good stuff),
Dr. Murthy is the 36-year-old president and co-founder of Doctors for America, a group that advocates for Obamacare and gun control laws.
The group calls gun violence a public health crisis. It pushes for Congress to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines and calls for spending tax dollars for more gun-control research.
The organization also lobbies for doctors to be allowed to ask patients, including minors, whether they have legal guns in the home. If the patient admits to having guns, Dr. Murthy wants doctors to counsel them appropriately about safety measures.
Murthy is, of course, also a big supporter of the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare), but we wont get off topic into discussing that here.
If confirmed, Murthy may be one of the most partisan appointments to the position of surgeon general in history.
Why dont we take a look at some of the disturbing tweets from Murthys Twitter page?

Vivek Hallegere Murthy
Fits the 0bama stereotype.
I’m shocked!!!
“a group that advocates for Obamacare and gun control laws.”
Perfect...
Look at the girl with the bubble gum bubble in the background. She’s probably a better choice.
These two short sentences tell you a lot about our government and our culture:
1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.
And heres another one worth considering.
2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. How come we never hear about welfare running out of money? What’s interesting is the first group “worked for” their money, but the second didn’t.
Even the Leftist ‘USA Today’ writes that Dr. Vivek Hallegere Murthy is nothing more than a political hack with no actual medical experience to speak of.
Obama’s disappointing surgeon general nominee:

‘America’s doctor’ must be an independent leader.
“In his short career, he has focused on supporting the Affordable Care Act and partisan politics, helping start Doctors for Obama, which led to a White House health panel appointment, his apparent sole experience relevant to public health.”
Nothing against the “doctor” but I haven’t seen a doctor wearing a white lab coat in at least 30 years.

Probably doesn’t even know how to give a flu shot.
What a useful idiot.
"Thanks Mr. Obama, this new white coat is great, it fits me perfectly. I'm not a real doctor, but I played one on TV."
This selection will make the curry crowd happy.
Its all about demographics/culture, always has been. Some people simply pretend as if it isn’t.
If I owned any guns, I’d probably have them beaten into plow shares.
That guy look scary-—sure wouldn’t want to cross him .
More & more in America, we must curry favor with those who favor curry. Been to a hospital lately?
;^)
"Murthy has focused his career not on America's medical ills but on business, getting an MBA and starting a clinical trials firm, boasting the pharmaceutical giant Merck as a client. He is a part-time doctor who has focused on what his website describes as his entrepreneurial passion."
