I posted a thread a while back, saying that an analysis showed that former HDOH director Loretta Fuddy would not have fit inside the casket that was shown in the Honolulu Diocese's photo from the funeral. After somebody pointed out a different method of calculation - not requiring a rotation of the images - I recognized that my conclusion was totally wrong and corrected my post on the blog, posted another post, changed the pdf's with the analysis, and commented on the thread here. But to make sure that anybody accessing the original post here will also see that correction, that post (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3119584/posts which I used as the source URL for this) needs to be tied to a new post - this post.
I'm still trying to figure out exactly what went wrong. I initially thought that the rotate function was screwed up and altered the proportions on the images when I rotated them. Now it's been pointed out that the "grid" that Word uses doesn't consist of squares. I measured, and 10 squares across is 1 1/2 inch, and 10 squares down is 1 1/4 inch. So they're 17% shorter than they are wide.
I've been dealing with my computer acting crazy; I documented all that on my blog. One of the things I documented was that somebody in real time inserted an image into my Wordpress "edit post" page (while I was working on it) that had to come from somebody else looking at my admin page on their computer.
One of the fogbowers accused me of lying and claimed she was going to make it her life's work to expose me by getting "visuals" of what really happened on my computer - claiming that I manipulated the dimensions myself to fit my agenda. She made a bunch of threats including what seems to me to be the threat of getting into my computer, threats of bankrupting me through lawsuits, and threats of more than 3 million people knowing that a jerk I am - apparently for questioning whether Fuddy's funeral had an open casket with Fuddy's body inside.
Anyway, suffice to say that I made a mistake, reasonable people corrected me, I corrected my mistake and apologized publicly wherever I knew people might see the erroneous claim, and then the vipers jumped on to try to kill me over it.
My apologies for the confusion.
To err is human... I still love you, butterdezillion!
You have only yourself to answer to, be well.
And who among us hasn’t (made a mistake)?
Accepting and acknowledging your mistakes is not the first step toward becoming a congressman.
Way to own up to a mistake.
Hey, none of us are perfect and when we make a mistake the best thing to do is to be honest and acknowledge it.
YOu know, I try to think things through completely but there’s always something a person can miss, no matter how long you look at something. That’s why there is wisdom in much counsel. Which is also why I always try to show my work, in the hopes that if I made a mistake somebody will point it out. That worked in this case, and I’m glad for that.
It makes everybody very hesitant to say anything, though, because somebody else may be able to see things you didn’t, which makes you look stupid afterwards for not having seen it. It’s the risk anybody takes when they speak out.
Absolutely inexcusable!!!
You should be banned from the Internet for such treachery!
/s :p
You’ve gotten a hundred things right, supplying us with information, while making one mistake. With Obama and his minions covering up virtually every fact around him, forging documents, erasing images, and cleaning out files from the State Department to the Hawaiian Health Department, not to mention his academic files, it’s a real job ferreting out the truth.
The Fuddy connection is still fascinating, and opens up a whole new hidden realm to explore.
Don’t be too hard on yourself. Hell more than half the voters in the US have made the same mistake in the last 2 presidential elections.
Wow. After some of the venom I’ve had thrown at me the last few days, that’s really simple and sweet.
There are some people at the blog who have been helpful even though they disagree with me. People like that give me hope that maybe there are people still open to reason.
Others just seem like snakes. I hope we don’t treat others like that.
lol. Or you have to use a computer that you think is giving you graph paper when it’s really giving you a grid of rectangles about .15 inch wide but with a height that’s 17% less than that.
It still rankles, but suck it up we must, and keep marching.
<removes tongue from cheek>
Your honesty is refreshing.
We can empathize with you. I know.I have made mistakes in information I have posted before. Correction is a bitch, but if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere, such is the level of scrutiny that is brought to bear on here.
I read that thread.
A Mistake was made, admitted to, and we move on.
It does not discredit you; rather it reinforces that it is the truth that you are after, not personal vain glory.
You are in the forefront of the most intrepid and dogged investigators of whoever the hell it is who is the Oval Office.
Things are coming to a head, and the charade cannot be sustained much longer. When things do break, you will be vindicated for the work you have done.
Your response to all this is in line with the character you have displayed over the past few years. Likewise, your detractors are exposed in the same way.
We know whom to trust.
God bless you. We need you in the trenches. The night is darkest just before the dawn.
And the dawn, we pray, will soon be here.
Obummer if you ask him!
You know what they say;
If the body don’t fit...
grab the hacksaw
