Anibal Fuentes Aguilar, an undocumented immigrant, faces the daily fear of leaving his wife and 6-month-old son behind.
My son, Franky, has acid reflux and needs medicine and care, Fuentes said last week through an interpreter. Im the only one who provides for my wife and my son.
The 27-year-old Albany Park resident is facing deportation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after a raid on his apartment complex last year, when officers were looking for another person and inquired about Fuentes status.
He was told he must voluntarily leave for his native Guatemala by Jan. 31, but was granted a two- to three-week stay on his deportation while Immigration and Customs Enforcement reviews his case for prosecutorial discretion, groups supporting Fuentes announced at a press conference at the Chicago Temple Thursday.
ICE made Fuentes deportation a priority because he has a prior deportation on record, Gail Montenegro, public affairs officer for ICE, said by email. He was detained on Dec. 13 and was released from ICE custody Dec. 19 with electronic monitoring.
Fuentes, a day laborer, has worn an ankle bracelet since he was released and attends weekly check-ins with ICE, he said. His prior deportation was when he tried to re-enter the United States after attending his mothers funeral in Guatemala in 2009.
I came here to support my family, Fuentes said through an interpreter last week. I have no family left in Guatemala.

Zero sympathy. Take your family with you back to your home.
Send the family with him.
So you put your own family in this situation, and we’re the bad guys. It’s not quite extortion, but it’s one heckuva racket.
Yup. no reason to leave them behind. Take um with ya.
“Yup. no reason to leave them behind. Take um with ya.”
I agree...
I'll just bet...plus anchor baby section 8, food stamps, medical...
Mexico is booming. They have jobs that the Spaniard Mex are too lazy to do.
Well take them and your closest 20 million illegal immigrant friends with you.
Probelemo solved, amigo.
I don’t have enough energy to read the whole article. I admit that my first inclination is that this is an anchor baby. Here’s my solution to illegal immigration, from my home page:

Whenever an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or something similar, here’s what I recommend:
What can we do about it? Heres my standard post.
RICO Citizen Recourse
Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO). The pattern of racketeering activity is defined as commission of two or more of the listed crimes. A RICO enterprise can be any individual legal entity, or a group of individuals who are not a legal entity but are associated in fact, and can include nonprofit associations.
Heres what Ive been pushing: its time to file Racketeering, Influencing, and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuits.
RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. Im surprised they havent done it already.
In the absence of enforcement, we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens like this jerk.
Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, Im going to point out that the victims family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and theyll all simply want to go back home.
Me too.
Lets just start calling these deportations JOB TRANSFERS.
His wife and kid can join him in Guatemala. Happens all the time.
Do we hear these sob stories when servicemen are “deported” to Afghanistan?
Deport him. His wife and son should go with him so THEY don’t split their family. The guy is an illegal alien criminal.
What you are not hearing in any of these stories is this: nobody is being deported right now, unless they satisfy one or both of two conditions: 1) they have a US felony conviction or 2) They have been deported, granted stays, and have failed to appear for a hearing on MULTIPLE occasions.
NOBODY is being deported right now simply for "being here." NOBODY. This is all baloney.
He's been in the US for at least 5 years and can't speak a GD word of English?
How come this is commonplace when we hear these sob stories?
The illegals ALWAYS seem to "need an interpreter".
I call BS.
I bet he speaks PLENTY of English when doing his tax returns so he can qualify for the EITC.
Guatemala...why I’ve seen Americans buy houses there on HGTV. Must not be so awful.
According to wiki the ruling party is center right. So he can go home and make some money.

This illegal alien did not have that son back in 2009..nor earlier still the first time he entered the US...
so there was no family to “support”...
The Mother of All Sob Stories?
