Virginia Democrat Jim Moran is a vile man. He is ending his political career with the current term and this is a good thing. Moran is an assailant; a wife beater; an influence peddler; a likely participant in a Democrat voter fraud scheme; and a putrid father.
Moran is such an awful person that he is actually stands out among fellow Democrats who are a gaggle of loathsome creatures; a pretty tall order.

Do you remember @10-15-+ years ago, after Moran throttled his kid’s 6 y/o classmate, another Dem took him on in the primary? IIRC, the guy’s name was Cohen, and he got @ 45-48% of the primary vote? He certainly did better than expected for challenging a long-term (even then) incumbent.
Maybe Cohen is still around, or at least another D who was appalled at Moran’s behavior. Forget about the District seeing a R elected any time soon.

You’re probably thinking about Brian Moran, the younger brother who ran for the state senate about ten or so years ago.
