Sean Hannity to Leave New York After Andrew Cuomo's Anti-Conservative Rant [w/audio]
Breitbart.com/Big-Journalism ^ | 1-20-2014 | Jeffrey Poor

“Now I want to tell you something – I was born and raised in New York,” Hannity said. “I want you to know that and I can’t wait to get out of here. I really can’t. I don’t want to pay their 10-percent state tax anymore. I live in the second-highest property taxed county in the entire country in Nassau County. I can’t wait to sell my house to somebody who wants it. I can’t wait to pay no state income tax down in Florida or Texas. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m leaning Florida because I like the water and I like to fish.”

******

“Gov. Cuomo, I’m going to leave and I’m taking all of my money with me – every single solitary penny,” he added. “And by the way governor, because I work here – there’s a whole bunch of people that work for me and benefit because I do two shows. And I guess maybe some of them will be out of work, governor. I’m sure you’ll take care of them.”

So I looked that up online(Since The Hill Country I am not familiar with, just familiar with the major big cities in Texas) There are 25 cities in that area, which one would you pick to live in or are they all good

“LA and SD”

I have to ask, do you mean Los Angeles and San Diego, or do you mean Louisiana and South Dakota?

I would guess you mean the first two, but on this thread it’s hard to tell!

I’d love to live in the Hill Country. I’ve lived in Austin. I loved it there except it’s just too damned liberal. Right now I live NW of Houston. I’m hoping to move to a small town in Central Texas within a year.

Like another poster said, Llano is beautiful! Pretty little river running through town. We considered moving to Leakey, Texas on the Frio River. Very beautiful and no liberals and no muslims. But it’s really isolated. I guess that’s why there are no muslims.

But to answer your question, I’ve lived in California. Any place in Texas would be a move up.

San Marcos would be a good choice. Hays County. There is a major tho not widely known university there. Formerly Southwest Texas State but now just Texas State.

Also Aquarena springs.

I had a friend in Kansas who was moving to a job in Austin. I told him to check out San Marcos and he did and bought a house there. He had a car pool to his job. He later thanked me for the tip.

California.

Warm. Not as humid as the Gulf.

Like humidity ?
Come on down to the Missouri Ozarks in June-July-August...

Luckenbach is in the Hill Country. Fredericksburg is a popular tourist place with lots of good peaches. But the weirdoes are taking over.

Yeah I would NEVER move to Austin, a city that makes SoCal seem Conservative LOL..and your right, anywhere in Texas is better than living in California..Ive lived here my entire life, born and raised, and its a real shame what its become, a real shame..Reagan loved Simi Valley, loved this state..he would cry if he knew what has happened to the state he once loved so dearly

I was kidding about Luckenbach. It does exist but mostly for people to get together, drink and listen to music. I don’t think anyone actually lives there.

Only reason I would go to NY was if I got a posting to USMA.

Knowing I will catch flak at FR by saying this....but Austin is a great town for a variety of reasons...& it's in the heart of Hill Country

..the job market is more plentiful...it is a pretty town and has much to offer in entertainment, music, the arts, etc....

..yes, it's a college town and leans liberal, but there are fine, upstanding churches and good people there....

..upscale shopping areas, amazing food!, art galleries, beautiful scenery, lush green hills (not arid like other parts of Texas, but don't get me wrong, I love all of Texas)

I have relatives there.

I spent two years in South East Georgia. Summers were far worse than the Florida Panhandle. More mosquitoes and more swamps. Winters were nice of course.

If you like beautiful girls, for some reason that area seems to have accumulated a huge number of them. I don’t mean cute girls, I mean absolute beauty queens or models. Just stunning girls.

When the Treasury issues all of this paper who is the guarantor on it? Is it not the US taxpayer?

The Treasury doesn't spend money on QE. CFA, really?

I am on my way to escaping. Sold the house in SoCal in August and looking for property elsewhere. I’ll retire in about 2.5 years and leave for good. It sure is nice not paying outrageous CA property taxes anymore.

The southwest Florida is nice. Tampa Bay is conservative, except for the cities. New Tampa, Apollo Beach or Lutz would be nice.

Florida has gas taxes and taxes on almost everything you buy. Florida Power and lights costs are very high.

I hope that you don’t think that you will escape CA taxes by moving. CA will hunt you down and demand the taxes, no matter where you live.

One time when my husband was transferred, he left before us and was working in the new state for three or four months, maybe even six months, before we joined him. We stopped paying CA taxes when he moved ( I guess the company stopped withholding the money) and CA sent us dunning letters demanding the rest of the taxes, which we ignored.

I hear that they are even worse about collecting their taxes now.

My wife and I sold out in L.A. in August and moved to Delray Beach. We love it here, and have no regrets.

I wouldn’t live in NY on a bet. I was born and raised here in Virginia, and aside from the occasional idiot governor ( Wilder-Kaine-MacRat) things here are mostly sane. My kid keeps trying to get me to move to San Diego to be near the grandkids, but I tell her that first they would grab every penny I have plus most of my guns are illegal in Californica.
