Sean Hannity to Leave New York After Andrew Cuomo's Anti-Conservative Rant [w/audio]
Breitbart.com/Big-Journalism ^ | 1-20-2014 | Jeffrey Poor

“Now I want to tell you something – I was born and raised in New York,” Hannity said. “I want you to know that and I can’t wait to get out of here. I really can’t. I don’t want to pay their 10-percent state tax anymore. I live in the second-highest property taxed county in the entire country in Nassau County. I can’t wait to sell my house to somebody who wants it. I can’t wait to pay no state income tax down in Florida or Texas. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m leaning Florida because I like the water and I like to fish.”

******

“Gov. Cuomo, I’m going to leave and I’m taking all of my money with me – every single solitary penny,” he added. “And by the way governor, because I work here – there’s a whole bunch of people that work for me and benefit because I do two shows. And I guess maybe some of them will be out of work, governor. I’m sure you’ll take care of them.”

That’s actually not far from where I live. One of the things I like about where I am now, btw, is that although there are lots of rolling hills, there are no steep hills like in Seattle. It means that when the roads are snowy and frosty, you just go a little slower. In Seattle, it means sliding down hills with your wheels locked up - or getting stuck at the bottom of a hill.

Interestingly, though it gets colder here than my old hometown of Seattle, the cold season is MUCH shorter.

There’s too much money invested in NYC to allow Manhattan to go the way of Detroit. Regardless of the imaginations of many on FR, it’s not going to happen.

What you will see is a further deterioration of the other four boroughs. Much of Brooklyn and the Bronx are horrible already, but the trend had been that improvement waa coming to those areas. That trend will be stymied, and likely reverse a bit.

NYC won’t be a new detoit, though. That’s just a popular conservative fantasy.

You echo’ed my thoughts and situation. Born and raised in SOCAL and now I’m a senior. Family all around...but I so bad want out of here.
Hubby says it is only a matter of time and every state in the Union will go liberal too. The USA is spiritually sick.
It sure leaves one unsettled to say the least.

Correct.

The Mahattan and Stantan Island parts of NYC will stay the same. The rest of the city as you have said will go down hill.

The one confort I do take is that the global south there is a hugh growth of the Christian faith that instead of the west sending missionaries, it will be those countries who will be or are now sending missionaries to, the USA and the west.

Who would have ever thought that missionaries would be needing to be sent to America !! God’s work WILL go on...despite this despicable evil that now prevails.

As Willie Nelson famously said, “Hell, I don’t live in Texas. I live in Austin.” I’ve been all over Texas and Austin is the only place I’d live and did in the mid-80’s.

My daughter keeps talking about wanting to move to Round Rock once she’s done with all her medical training (she’s working on becoming a PA).

Quite a few 'celebrities' live in Austin, including Sandra Bullock

The climate is rather mild in the winter, although experiencing some cold the past few weeks....and yes, it gets downright hot in the summer :)

The temps seem to mirror Central Florida year round.

German pioneers settled in many of the small towns around Austin, as the town names reflect.

Fredericksburg has the 'must see' Admiral Chester Nimitz museum (of the Pacific War).....

Texas has lots to offer!

Round Rock is a lovely little town outside of Austin....less developed, more homey, country, peaceful

..and has the world famous Round Rock Donuts!!!!----oh my goodness....I carried a whole box home on the plane one time :)....all the way to Florida

These donuts put Krispy Kreme to shame!

I miss East Tennessee. A friend always tells me to shut up about East Tennessee. He doesn’t want people moving there and ruining it before he retires.

No state income tax in Tennessee either. Moderate climate, abundant cheap power, low cost housing and plenty to do in the great outdoors. Add all of that to good people.

Ummm, Texas has a long coastline, Sean.

Yeah, but it's the polluted Gulf.

Lived here all my life and never seen it so bad..it would be nice to live in a Conservative state for a change, and the economy here in CA stinks and is overrun with illegals(I know, surprise surprise) there are some Conservative parts of CA as you know but the majority of it is liberal, everywhere you look nothing but liberals, liberals in the local media, liberals on talk radio, its sickening..would love to leave but my whole family is here, now if I were to find a good job in another state I would leave in a jiffy
