In a recent Wall Street Journal interview, Paglia, now 66, demonstrated that she has not strayed from her role as the self-described notorious Amazon feminist who is quick to lambaste the movement and its orthodoxy.
Weiss observed, however, that the topic that gets the greatest rise out of Paglia is how attempts to dismiss the biological differences between men and women have influenced the collapse of Western civilization.
The diminished status of military service is only the start of the decline of the culture, according to Paglia.
"The entire elite class now, in finance, in politics and so on, none of them have military servicehardly anyone, there are a few. But there is no prestige attached to it anymore. That is a recipe for disaster," she says. "These people don't think in military ways, so there's this illusion out there that people are basically nice, people are basically kind, if we're just nice and benevolent to everyone they'll be nice too. They literally don't have any sense of evil or criminal

She's fearless.
Back in the early nineties, I had a friend who incessantly tried to convert me to liberalism. He bought me a book by Paglia ("Vamps and Tramps") and thought that would do it. Well, I loved the book but it only reinforced my political beliefs.
I think she's one of a dying breed of "liberaltarians". Always fun to read.
Paglia is my favorite lesbian, feminist author. The list is pretty short to be sure. She is confused about a lot of things, but she has always been a defender of masculinity and the American male. She is a rare breed.
Did anyone else notice that virtually everyone on TV on New Year’s Eve was gay? Not sure what it means, but it was striking.
The commercial for some cholesterol drug is a perfect example. The “man” in the commercial acts like some kind of combination of a fifteen year old girl, a small child and a nitwit. His wife and young son look on indulgently.
Not so much in TX (thank God).
My son's 1st grade teacher was going through a divorce and took it out on the boys.
But, his 5th grade teacher was cool and let the boys be boys for the most part. She expected boys to do their work, but she took in stride their more physical behaviors. One little boy of India descent wrote and told, in a very animated way, a tall tale of combat - lopping off the arms of his adversaries with a broadsword... and much more. She smiled politely and praised his creativity (it really was a great story and extremely well delivered). If he told this in Kalifornia, his parents would have been jailed and the boy would have been put in the foster care of a lesbian couple.
Is the Mick Jagger?
I've been pointing out to my sister that a substantial percentage of the HGTV profiles feature gay couples purchasing property (and other similar programs she watches). She's nary-to-bright and hadn't picked up on this programming "feature". Desensitized. Mission accomplished.
Not to mention that HGTV was touting they were going to cover the Rose Bowl Gay Parade live.
Actually, HGTV is one of the few stations I still watch. If you can get over the gay predominance on that station as well, there are interesting programs.
Please run in 2016.
I would but Dad mistakenly raised me to be honest. That put an early halt to any political aspirations I might have developed.
The majority of this anti-male hysteria and persecution is mainly women working their personal issues out on the rest of society.
