Former Attorney General and current U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal is calling on United Parcel Service to issue refunds to customers whose gifts did not arrive in time for Christmas.
I am disappointed to learn that so many consumers in Connecticut and across the country made purchases this holiday season expecting their gifts to arrive in time for Christmas, but instead were left empty-handed, the Democratic senator from Connecticut said in a press release.

All my Amazon Prime packages took a long while to get here. So, I think you are on to something. (they were here well in time for Christmas but I ordered them giving good time)
A friend ordered her package 3 weeks ago. It didn’t arrive by Christmas. So it’s not just procrastinators.
DELETE THE Useless United States Postal Service from the face of the Earth and attach YOURSELF TO IT!
I could send a box of rocks 3rd class to F'ing Siberia and it would get there the next day, I send something Important and they LOSE IT!
That is why you have credit/debit cards, order ahead, and pay it with the bonus.
Only one of my purchases didn’t make it here. It was a small $20 item that UPS delivered to the wrong address.
I called the merchant and they are sending another, no biggie.
We made seven purchases from Amazon up until Dec. 21st, all made it in time.
Really.
For guaranteed overnight delivery they probably do refund, which could be the only way to back up a guarantee.
UPS in our area is very good. FedEx just sucks, pathetically and if I have a shipping choice, it will never be FedEx. Our FedEx driver is an equal opportunity chick than makes judgement calls based on weather. If she thinks it’s dangerous, she simply does not drive to outlying areas.
The last time she delayed a delivery by a couple days she cited blizzard conditions to her boss. Fact is it was sunny and roads were cleared. Little miss precious just did not want to work and got by with it.
Another time her excuse was we were not home, when I challenged her she said she went to the wrong address. I later went to that exact address and there was a decapitated non-lived in wrecked mobile home there with a lawn full of 4 foot saplings. Even a democrat could see no one had lived there in years.
Ref post 47, I should have said dilapidated, not decapitated. Musta been a Freudian Slip when thinking about her.
I think it's even more basic than that. I think we just have too many stupid people these days.
I have several packages sent USPS that were delivered after the specified delivery range will this blowhard tell the USPS to give me a refund? Why no of course not because that would harm hard working government employees who are a protected class.
Blummenthal needs to return to tax payers, MONEY for malfeasance of office, for giving away the family legacy of the future generations. It´s easy to point fingers. HE who lives in a glass house shouldn´t throw stones.
Always easy for a leftist to spend other people’ money.
But how were people supposed to remember that Christmas fell on December 25th this year? /s
Because giving Christmas presents is an historic Jewish tradition.
That reminds me: when do we celebrate the 4th of July this year?
It’s still down to bad planning. They could have put away a few bucks each month, until they got the needed money by November then did their shopping and shipping.
Agreed! And duh!
I vote for “stupid.”
It is much like getting stuck in work traffic. Follows the same rules.
What worries me is if there is some kind of national crisis or disaster. These same people will be lost.
Foolish Blumenthal is under the misapprehension that he is still the Communist Attorney General of Connecticut, rather than the Communist Senator from Connecticut.
I later went to that exact address and there was a decapitated non-lived in wrecked mobile home there with a lawn full of 4 foot saplings. Even a democrat could see no one had lived there in years.
You’ve never seen a lib who has let his yard go back to “nature” have you? I lived next to one for a while. The county/city went after him to “mow his lawn” they finely started bringing the STS guys over to do it for him. I am sure they tacked it on to his tax bill.
