Same goes for just about any left wing complaint.

Don’t like oil companies? Open your own and run it how you think it should be done. Same goes for any other business.

Don’t like folks “messing up” the environment? Buy the land you want to protect.

I don't think I need to crunch the numbers but, at 15 bucks an hour, with a (some) 24 hr day, and a staff of (avg) 5, AND average a burger at $5 ... You need to sell 360 burghers to generaste the $1800.00 just for payroll.

That's 30 burghers per/hr.

Go watch a McDonalds during off peak hrs and see what kind of business they do

We ain't talked yet about rent, electricity and a million of etcetera's for the example I've invented.

Liberals are all about feelings, talk and other peoples’ money. They are not about actually paying for their stupid ideas themselves.

In the North-east and Westcoast, high cost areas, you could pay wage that and be fine.

Never happen. McD’s is one of the most expensive franchises. No liberal who could actually afford to buy one would ever do something so economically ignorant as to actually pay these schlubs that much money.

The same should apply to unions.

If they know so much about how to run a business, why don’t they open their own and pay their employees the lavish salaries and benefits they insist others provide?

Based on their political donations, it’s not like they don’t have the cash.

Unless they have actually managed a business (even a lemonade stand) and have been involved with even ONE budget ...their “opinion” and “advice” should be totally disregarded. Might as well ask a new born baby or my pomeranian how to run a business....result = same.

Financial Requirements and Start-Up Costs to Open a McDonald’s

An initial down payment is required when you purchase a new restaurant (40% of the total cost) or an existing restaurant (25% of the total cost). The down payment must come from non-borrowed personal resources, which include cash on hand; securities, bonds, and debentures; vested profit sharing (net of taxes); and business or real estate equity, exclusive of your personal residence.
Since the total cost varies from restaurant to restaurant, the minimum amount for a down payment will vary. Generally, you need a minimum of $300,000 of non-borrowed personal resources to be considered to open a McDonald’s franchise. Individuals with additional funds may be better prepared for additional or multi-restaurant opportunities which McDOnald’s encourages.

Other Requirements to Open a McDonald’s

Significant business experience - Individuals who have demonstrated successful ownership or management of multiple business units or have managed multiple departments.
Rapid growth - Individuals who possess the capability to grow rapidly with McDonald’s.
Business plan - The ability to develop and execute a business plan.
Manage finances well - Ability to manage finances including a thorough understanding of business financial statements.
Good management skills - Commitment to personally manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant business.
Training - Willingness to complete a comprehensive world class training program and become proficient in all aspects of operating a McDonald’s restaurant business.
Exceptional customer experience - The capability to effectively manage an organization that recruits, trains, and motivates restaurant employees who deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Good credit history - An acceptable credit history
Ongoing Fees to McDonald’s

During the term of the franchise, you pay McDonald’s the following fees:
Service fee- A monthly fee based upon the restaurant’s sales performance (currently a service fee of 4.0% of monthly sales).
Rent - A monthly base rent or percentage rent that is a percentage of monthly sales. McDonald’s usually owns the property and also acts as the landlord

$15.00 is only 20% above what the minimum wage was in 1968 when adjusted for inflation.

To me that’s one of the most irritating things about this. They’re harassing small businessmen.

Why not small bar owners or little party store owners? Because they don’t have a big name to attach their grievance of the day to.

I have no sympathy with mega-businesses. And, even the metro McD franchisees where these protests occur are mega businesses with sales in the 100’s of millions, even into the billions in major cities.

These corporate pukes encouraged Bush’s government expansion, then Obama. Most of the top executives in these places are Demorats. Only the old timers there are real conservatives.

They made their bed, let them wet it.

And, as far as the wage earners who will lose their jobs from a higher minimum wage, those are the Obama’s core constituency. Screw them. Elections have consequences. Even unintended ones.

Excuses I get usually involve how much money it takes to run a business, that there are already too many businesses and the competition would be too fierce.

I am not kidding, That is what they say!

They also love to cite some single-location restaurant that you’ve never heard of, with 5 employees that pay 15.00 an hour, as PROOF that it can be done EVERYWHERE. Nevermind other variables that cant just be applied all over the country.

besides making the cost of everything go up, raising the minimum wage for the dumbest of the dumb devalues every actually good employee you have.

As the salary of the minimum wage idiots creeps up... it starts getting closer and closer to the salaries of your low level managers. So why strive to become a manager and deal with all the stress when you can just sort of push a mop and make almost as much.

It would be nice to see .gov cut back on entitlements and benefits and in the same time the private sector increase their pay so that we would stop subsidizing their workforce via such .gov benefits.

WalMart and McDonalds relies on .gov providing their workforce with subsidies.

What good would that do?

I vehemently demand a “living wage” for workers.
I feel good about myself.
Mission accomplished.

What more is necessary?

Even the wait staff at big eating places do not make even min wage. Tips are supposed to pick up the slack.

Our Military do not make Min wage. And they lay their lives on the line every day.

So why should a burger flipper with no skills whatsoever make more than Min Wage? Worst thing could happen to a burger flip is some hot grease.

GIVE IT A BREAK, you don’t have enough education to make more money!

The only thing that will happen is that McD will automate like Aldi food stores, stockers and 1 cashier and a manager. and get rid of these under educated people. Who will end up on welfare. Which is their goal any way.
