So, who was the more stupid--the geeks or the cops?

Tough call.

We use $2.00 bills in our shipping store all of the time. Most people like them and put them aside. A few don’t want them. We use them because it cuts down on the amount of singles in the cash drawer. It works for us,

Lawyers are lined up around the block... to make Best Buy, their idiots employees and the Baltimore Police pay, and pay, and pay--

And first thing in the morning, I'm going to my bank and getting some $2 bills... and hope lightning strikes again.

I can use the money... to pay my bar bills!

Enjoy... enjoy!

Just for laughs try to pass off some dollar coins ... just not the 1971 silver dollars.

He’s really lucky this wasn’t at a Best Buy in New Mexico. He’d get a $2 high colonic.

I attend a certain convention every year. One of the vendors obtains stacks of $2 bills and uses them as change. When people use them in town, it reminds them that we are there spending money.

I know Best Buy employees are stupid but the Fing cops just take the cake.

I absolutely HATE them. Reminds me of when I lived in the UK and my change purse was heavy as hell with pound coins.

They take my 3 dollar bills with President Goldwater on them all of the time.

Speaking of tips, one time I was waiting on a table, and I noticed that the customer left me five crisp $1 silver certificates, fanned out neatly.

For a second I almost told him that the bills were worth a LOT more than one dollar apiece, but I didn't.

I still feel guilty.

Could have been worse. He could have tried paying with SB Anchovy Dollar coins.

I might have been tempted to employ some pointed comments as well had he done that! I refuse to accept those abominations in any circumstances!

With what silver is going for, you’d be better off selling the silver to a collector.

Or hanging on to it for the apocalypse.

When they redesigned the 100 bills years ago I got some at the bank on the first day of issue. I tried to spend it at a restaurant and they refused to take it.

I had others that were the old style and used one of those instead.

Silver certificates can’t be traded in for silver any more.

I just talked to a collector and he said they weren’t worth all that much any more because of that.

It’s a signal that we are all a little nervous of Law Enforcement in the post 9/11 world.
