About That Surprise Jobs Report - Big Gainer (Again) Was Low Wage Food/Drinking Services
Confounded Interest ^ | 11/12/2013 | Anthony B. Sanders

Some people are still excited about the recent “surprise” jobs report where 204,000 jobs were added to the economy.

Excited, that is, until you look at the jobs added. The biggest gainer was Food Services and Drinking Places. Notoriously, low paying jobs compared to some sectors of the economy.

The biggest loser? Clothing and clothing accessories stores lost 12,500 jobs. The Federal government lost 12,000 jobs.

Growing low wage jobs is one factor contributing to the abysmal “growth” in Real Average Hourly Earnings.

Maybe The Blues Brothers were on to something in the 1970s by singing “Hey Bartender.”

Throw in millions losing their insurance and we have a disaster.

When companies cut workers to under 30 hours, they are going to need more of them.

Maybe the P.O. can become a home beer delivery service for the unemployed?

What was that line the Democrats used back when the Bush economy gained jobs? Something about dismissing them as just ‘McJobs’?

That, and 4.4% unemployment being the worst economy since the depression.

Remember when millions of jobs were created under Reagan, most high paying, and the left constantly said they were all “burger-flippers”?

Obama, can you spare a dime?

They used to tell me I was building the dream
And so I followed the mob
With government checks, and votes to cast
I was always there, right on the job

They used to tell me I was building the dream
With hope and change ahead
Why should I now be standing in line
Just waiting for health care and bread?

Once I worked for a living, paid my own way
Paid interest on my student loans
Once I mortgaged a home, and now it’s all gone
Obama, can you spare a dime?

Once I could work a 40-hour week
Get health care at the same time
Once I lived the American dream
Obama, can you spare a dime?

Oh, say, don’t you remember? They called me ‘Employed’
I was ‘Employed’ all the time
Say, don’t you remember? I’m the one you screwed
Obama, can you spare a dime?

Again - Stupid Liberal Policy wreaks havoc.
What about when we run out of earners with enough disposable income to eat out or sit at a bar???
Idiots.

My son 43 finally found a min wage job at TJ Max, doing what I don’t know. This is a man with 20 years of management and supervisory work and 0’s ruining of our economy threw him out of work. Going from $40K to $8 an hr.

Or a crisis that can't be allowed to go to waste...
