Tried reasoning with any of them lately?
IMHO now entering a new period where Obama voters simply won't admit their mistake, no matter how bad the pain gets for us all. They're in denial mode it seems (now the only remaining alternative to surrender) rejecting reason on every level while hurling threadbare prog talking points at you, i.e. 'But now they can't turn away people for pre-existing conditions- it's a Good Thing!', like we needed a monstrosity of this magnitude to have this one single change legislated. Alas, they also seem plain tuckered-out and spent from defending a bumbling
-and now crumbling- Obama.
Meanwhile attacks by MSM/DC Obammunists on the TEA Party and other prog 'state enemies' have been turbocharged, both as a distraction from astonishing Team Obama incompetence + cronyism as well as political pre-emptive strikes on stand-up conservatives who insist on discussing reality- like Ted Cruz and Mike Lee, ferinstance.
But the young voters who have been most stubborn -and even radical- will completely freak out when they realize how bad they are being screwed by Obamacare. The truth is, the misnomer ACA depends on the poorest generation -the young- to pay for the oldest -and richest- generation, and that dog won't hunt: the backlash is already growing, and the most rabid street-level leftists are usually the ones with the least $.
Although I agree with Mark Levin's thinking that we ought to back
Ted Cruz to the hilt -and fight Obamacare tooth-and-nail, every day
(not just kick back and wait for it to implode)- the fact is the Republicans are in NO shape to take over this country, especially when you consider that the only agenda our party 'leadership' in the House and Senate currently have is to carry Obama's water. As opportunity to act as savior to America presents itself, John Boehner clearly isn't up to the task intellectually, or otherwise.
More to the point, we constitutional conservatives need to get our own particular house in order to prepare for the coming political vacuum...
I don't think most middle class Americans could afford to pay for this if they wanted to, the rise in rates is simply staggering. Conservatives on the Hill should probably outline what a market-based alternative (with interstate insurance-policy shopping and tort reform, while restoring customer choice) would look like, we need this as a deal-closer with bewildered Obama voters while we continue to campaign for Obamacare's complete and utter destruction (NOT tinkering).
This means no less than toppling the current party leadership, putting Ted Cruz on the presidential ballot, and facing-down Karl Rove, the RNC, Dana Perino types on Fox (and other residual Bushites) every damn day-- along with the whole RINO cabal currently laying at the feet of the vile Obama regime. And Cruz leads every recent early presidential poll I've seen... we've got quite a wind at our back, us clingers.
Step aside, Vichy Republicans, Obama enablers, and other Gee Oh Pee squirrels... this weary and politically confused country needs to find a new direction, stat- and you serial failures have ZERO to say worth listening to. Times, they are a-changing, call it 'Reagan's Revenge'.

The worst are old Democrat mouthpieces, such as Doug Schoen on Hannity last night, who keep repeating the mantra, “ObamaCare is the law of the land.” Well, so was HillaryCare, until the old folks took out after Rostenkowski with their canes and chased him down the street when he was trying to sell that turkey. That law was repealed, until it was resuscitated by Obama, a fact that should be thrown into Hillary’s face when she runs in ‘16.
Are we so weak that we can’t do what those elderly folks did in the ‘90s?

Just a thought: if 2014 is a good tea party election, and Cruz were to win the 16 nomination, a lot of the power within the GOP would be shifted by definition. Reagan didn’t change the party then get the nomination
his nomination and subsequent victory changed the party.

Every once in awhile I take a short visit over to DU to see what’s up. I’m no expert at browsing that website but, IMHO, it seems like they are avoiding discussion of Obamacare like it was the plague, which of course it is.
Is DU in denial? I think so.

Had a little debate with a guy who works for my husband. When he became trapped with the truth he pulled out the “Cheney big oil”, “wealthy Walmart” and “rich insurance” cards. He is a black “disabled” Marine, (the government painted his office with lead-based paint and it caused arthritis) he is in incredible shape, works out every day. He will go to his grave defending every lie Obama has ever told. I want him fired.

Ask them what the ideological difference is between not denying people for pre existing conditions and reimbursing me for my share of the medical expenses I paid for my wife’s cancer that killed her ten years ago? There’s no sense to the question but it sounds “fair” and, besides, I could use the cash.

Separate-but-equal and Jim Crow were once the law of the land. Was it wrong to protest those? Was it wrong to demonstrate, march, petition and show the inequity and criminality behind those laws?

Good point that an alternative medical reform needs to be found but most alternatives involve government and government is the problem, not the solution.
The Alternative is to allow retainer fee medicine to flourish at the grassroots level while government ‘healthcare’ apparatchiks continue to dig their hole. To facilitate this we need a law that protects private practice completely against any federal government interference including any form of mandates. Local regulation is fine to enforce practice standards but federal government involvement needs to be made extinct and unconstitutional.

How could it be denial when there is so much Republican backing for Obama-style politics?

As I recall Hillarycare was never voted on at all by either house of Congress. Rostenkowski’s fight with the seniors was another but related matter. People in IL wanted Hillarycare from the start though.

You presume that they are failing - from my understanding of their goals, they are being wildly successful.

They are persisting in “failure” because they are not failing.
What they are doing now is burning bridges to what existed before. By 2015, their goal is not that “Obamacare” be functional - it is that the old system will have been damaged beyond repair, so that it cannot be restored no matter who is in power.
They never intended “Obamacare” to work, they intended it to destroy. And that, it is doing.

America can survive a Barack Obama, but it cannot survive an electorate who would vote for him twice.

Remember The party power brokers got Reagan to put the GOPe Bush41 on the ticket. If Cruz should get the nomination, he needs to make sure to pick a suitable non-GOPe veep.
The US needs to make a fundamental validation of constitutional government.
