Okay, we are now entering a new era for the DUmmie FUnnies. In addition to the regular DUFUs, I will also be posting stream of consciousness observations based on whatever is in the newspaper. The first of these you can see in this VIDEO. I don't really plan the topics, they just sort of come to me as I analyze the newspaper. In this edition, I analyze the decline of the Miami Herald, the sad fate of a friend of mine named Tom who made a bad business decision, the testimony yesterday of Marilyn Tavenner of CMS, and the incredibly robotic Kathleen Sebelius. I sign off with a special message to my Japanese friends in their lingo.
I originally thought to do videos of me reading aloud the DUFUs but how would that be an improvement over the written version? Therefore I decided to go with the completely different angle by doing video observations on current events in general. Everything is off the top of my head so as to keep the material fresh. Oh, and don't worry. the regular DUFUs will continue as usual. And if Charles ever gets around to getting a Smart Phone, perhaps he can post videos as well.
PING!
Top ten. Yay
Meh. Not interested TOP TEN.
I’m old school and prefer the written word.
You know. If you prepared a bit in advance, you could be extremely funny. Ichi ban hai hai hai, lol.
Cool beans!
I like to do it off the top of my head. Stream of consciousness. I can’t run out of material that way.
meh...sorry. Maybe 1 or 2 minutes, but not damn near 10.
Okay, maybe I will keep it to no more than 5 minutes in the future. This is new for me. Maybe i should have stuck with Sebelius and that CMS woman with the bad voice.
I listened to that guy all the way to the end. What a waste of time that was.
Same here. Videos are a waste of time if they don’t add information that can’t be properly conveyed by the written word. Dash cam vids, for instance, but monologues and interviews are better in print.
Next time no more than 5 minutes. I can go long and then edited it down to the best material. But I did think it was funny that the Herald staff were watching Biscayne Bay one day and the next day their scenery was a parkings lot in a business park.

I found it interesting, but then I am from South Florida, so I can relate to what you were saying. Yeah, 5 minutes, with that quick, biting humor, that should do it.
And it is easier to insert emotion to manipulate the viewer.
So you remember the old Miami Herald with the unique tropical type design? Then they redesigned it at great expense to make the Herald look as BORING as the other newspapers.
I absolutely remember the old Herald. It seems that Miami is losing its uniqueness, even the local radio stations have gone from Miami based DJ shows, to national ones.
I still want the written version.

I get on FR to read, not hear. I am either at work where I am listening to the radio (headphones, of course) or I am watching TV.
I also don’t click when the entirety of a thread HL is “Click here for audio/video.”
I prefer written, so please put it in a different ping list.
