Mitch McConnell for Pres. 2016 and General of Counter-Terrorism for VP.
I thought you would be interested in this story I found on news.msn.com: US ambassador summoned by Germany over NSA spying ( http://news.msn.com/world/us-ambassador-summoned-by-germany-over-nsa-spying#tscptme, )
Wait a second? Didnt Snowden first go to China? Where China and their reverse-technology, was granted the rights to reproduce the Grundig SW radio? I hear people in American jails, know how to increase the band-with of small transistor radios. What could China do with a Grundig or cell phone, like the Samsung knock-off.
Now didnt Germany discredit our secrets, as found in the German newspaper?
As for France, just how long were they (like Australia in Afghanistan) going to provide there battalions, in the Syrian civil strife? Long enough to see the US weaponry as a Socialist Country? Then pull-out and leave us to boots on the ground?
Now: what about Switzerland and that $2,800.00 a month? Doesnt that story sound familiar, as in the US $10 Million dollar theory?
What happened to our spy-plane brought down by China? If France and Germany are really worried about spying? Wouldnt we infiltrate the Belgian Arms Race? I think they have enough to worry about, with the Saab software in Fighter Jets? Comprendee-Vous?
No. One Global Problem? Malnutrition.
Lol!

It's a combination of "waiting" and "wasting". Gee, it's nice to be back!
Well, Mr. Bill is home, but I don’t know how long it will last.
It seems the rebuilt starter has a “problem” that may or may not rectify itself in time, or that this “new” starter will have to be replaced. Which irritates me because of the labor costs. Exchanging one starter for another that has already been paid for is no biggie.
Once the engine has started, there seems to be a high-pitched screech which, although it doesn’t last longer than a few seconds, is still rather disconcerting. Why they didn’t tell me about it before I got the truck is beyond me.
Once the engine is warmed up after driving a few miles, shut off and started again, the sound goes away, but I’m left with an extremely high-pitched whine, such as turbos in a SciFi movie. Which also doesn’t last long!
So it’s pretty much an “ungh” day for me. If you can believe that...
(What on earth would I ever do without my FRiends on the UT???)
Starters are only supposed to engage the teeth of the flywheel when starting the engine. If they fail to engage properly, or disengage properly, you can get ... inappropriate ... noises.
By the way, I'm back from the wilds of Pennsylvania. Mr. Penn's woods didn't have enough leaves on them.
Busdaddy listened to it and he thought it might be something to do with the flywheel, as well, but evidently had never heard that sound before, so his response wasn’t nearly as knowledgeable as yours.
So. At this point, do I take it back where I got it and have them install a new one while I wait? I can’t see me paying my mechanic twice for the same job. He’s too much of a keeper to cause any dissention!
Not just a little swam gas then?
swam = swamp
(My bad.)
Welcome back. The tree here are losing leaves quite rapidly with the wind of the last few days...and the cool nights...
I like swam gas...kinda like bubbles in the tub...
;o])
I know what you meant! LOL!
I'd suggest a phone call. Tell them you suspect the starter is not pulling away properly after releasing, and ask if there's any way they can rectify it.
A skilled mechanic, with some luck available, might be able to shim the starter to eliminate the noise.
Worst case, another starter. Somebody needs to cover the labor.
My guy swam last week and had a kind of gas as well...
I have to go back in the morning to get the core charge refund, and thought I could have them listen to the starter then.
The rest of it will depend on how they feel about senior citizens, great-grandmothers and disabled individuals. If the response to any of the above is negative, I will email the company, follow up with a phone call and if necessary, write a letter. My last resort will be calling a local TV station for “intervention.”
I am not without “Plans A thru Z,” but I hate to use any of the ones beyond “A” if I don’t need to. I prefer to have them “suggest” a solution, and if it doesn’t agree with what I know so far, then I will do what I need to do.
I was a military wife for 30 years, a military mom and widow for another 20, and that brings me close to today. I can’t “do everything,” but I’m not dependent on someone else to do what needs to be done. Most of all, I know where to go for the information I need.
:o])
LOL!
Every time I see this,

I know Sionnsar is here. :-)
If I can't find what I'm looking for, I just make stuff up.
I make stuff up and then I look it up.

Also a good place to check for spelling errors.
