It seems that the rhetoric against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) has gone from hateful to downright graphic and violent. The Capitol Police are investigating online threats made by an individual against the Texas senator, a Cruz spokesperson said Friday.
The threatening posts were made on Twitter by someone who identifies himself as Troy Gilmore Jr. and uses the Twitter handle @ArmyVet54. He has also listed Cruz’s home address in Houston several times and argued he needs to be “taught a street wise lesson.”
“Take down Ted Cruz, at his home,” the person tweeted, listing Cruz’s home address in Houston.
“Lets Find Ted Cruz, Texas address and show up his House, drag him out and B***h slap his A** in front of the country,” another tweet reads.
“Ted Cruz, we want you a** go the f*** back in Canada, else you and ur family will pay. U got a f***ing big mouth,” the same person wrote.
In yet another threatening post, the user advocates hanging Cruz by his “small balls if he tries another ‘ShutdownTactic.’”
“We’re aware of it and have alerted the proper authorities. I can’t comment further on security matters,” Cruz spokesman Sean Rushton told The Hill.
Capitol Police spokesman Shennell Antrobus told the Hill the department is “looking into that matter” and that they take all threats against members of Congress seriously.

Also, the article said that Capitol Police are investigating. I understand that if it happens on the grounds of the Capitol, etc.; however, since this loon gave out Sen Cruz’s Houston address and it’s on twitter,etc., shouldn’t the FBI be investigating (sorry if I’m missing something and/or uniformed on this - just trying to learn).

I believe Peter King said that Cruz was engaging in "governmental terrorism". Chris Matthews called Cruz a "political terrorist". There were other similar comments.
In fact I'm beginning to think that “Troy Gilmore Jr.” is a fictitious internet persona.
If the pieces of crap who did this think they are going to intimidate Cruz into backing down, they have an unpleasant surprise coming. They have met their match.

The media should be held accountable for this for they are the one’s who stoked the flames for these threats against Senator Cruz.

A little off topic maybe, but I am sitting/slumping here watching Fox reporting on the VA governor’s race and all I can see, because I honestly cannot understand how, or believe that we have become so evil, is that someone moved us off our own planet when we blinked somewhere. How in the world could a filth like mccauliffe be ahead of Cuccinelli by more than ten points, and why is hillary openly campaigning for him down there and being cheered the way they cheered for the last bam in town? We have gone quite mad and I don’t think any amount of research we do into what makes evil evil is going to answer our question. And the real question is how is it that so few are willing to fight it and how many have joined it to save themselves which will never, ever happen.
It baffles me how anyone with a functioning brain is NOT paranoid these days! They have sown the seeds for all this crap, the truth is never revealed, it’s left to one’s imagination as to what comes next!

Nope, but those during the 1930s and WWII in Europe thought that this could not happen to them.
Prepare for the worse in hopes that it will never happen than being blindly blissful thinking that everything is A OK.
