People need to STOP referring to the NPS Rangers at these sites as “goons”
Every indication is that the “goons” are looking in the other direction, and in some cases actively facilitating entry by the Vets in acts of insubordination against the President.
I agree, these rangers don’t appear to be trying very hard.
Yes, the rangers are not goons. I’m waiting on DHS agents to show up with large weapons and scarey vehicles. That would make a big visual impression on everyone.

Right!
Rand Paul is quick to shoot from the lip, but where is he when we need him, like on immigration.
NPS Rangers are among the good guys.
I think the “goons” are the people that Bambi hired to place the barricades.
The Park Service guys aren’t putting up the barricades. Those are the (probably union) goons of which they speak.

Many of the NPS Rangers are Vets. Yes, they’re looking the other way.
“...actively facilitating entry by the Vets in acts of insubordination...”
Needs to be emphasized and repeated over and over.
People are tuning in late to this.
For those few who did the right thing, kudos. But for those who "just followed orders" and put up the signs and barriers and threatened vets with arrest, they deserve the opprobrium they get.

Thank you.
Blame the guy who gave the orders, not the government employees who are following orders.
I'd say something different if this were an illegal order (i.e., shoot the veterans), but so far, the orders are legal and we need to hold accountable the elected officials and senior appointed officials who gave those bad orders, not the worker bees. Some orders need to be obeyed, others need to be reported, and in this case, "reporting the orders" means telling the American citizens so we can get rid of bad elected officials.

That sort of tactic, i.e., having a sympathetic victim who tugs the heartstrings on both sides of the issue, was used by the leftists with groups like Vietnam Veterans Against the War. There is no reason conservatives can't use it, too.
Think like a community organizer. The other side does... and some of their tactics not only work, but are entirely appropriate to use. I really like this comment, which is spot on:

I agree.
