This morning a truck broke the security barrier in a Caracas highway exchange and got stuck in the middle of the highway. The truck carried packs of frozen meat. It was 6 AM. Within minutes there were already people trying to loot the truck instead than trying to save the driver, who ended up dead later. The cops came and stopped for a while the actions. But since the Caracas main highway was paralyzed, motorbikes came from all around and started trying to rob all the unhappy drivers stuck in traffic.
At 9 AM about 300 bikers arrived and tried to overpower the police security people who had to call for reinforcement. Of course, the idea was to loot the truck...
The disaster blocked the whole city all the way until downtown

I remember someone, it might have been here, telling about a power outage at the grocery store while they were shopping. Even though the lights were only out for a minute, when they came back on people were racing for the door with their carts loaded with everything they could grab.
For some people, it only takes seconds for their animal side to show. It’s like dealing with streets full of were-hyenas.
I hope he included a bathroom in his plans :p
“I hope he included a bathroom in his plans :p”
When I talk to him again, I’ll ask about that. Since it’s supposed to be for a tornado warning, one might not be in there long but still nature does call.
Ah, thank you.
might be better suited to one of the stages in “A Failure of Civility”.
I like your idea...ass wipe for the masses in Venezuela at rip off prices (or let’s just price it at $100 a standard roll...match it to the price of a barrel of oil...like we should have done with wheat before Carter started screwing us on oil prices...in the beginning a bushel of wheat and a barrel of oil were the same price...less than $5.00 each).

“Our future in 20 years.....”
“20? Venezuela has sunk to this level in 14 years.”
Yep. Hitler was only in power for 12 years.
Kart, where did that happen? I had seen the image, and read the story but have forgotten the particulars. Thanks.
That was trucker Reginald(?) Denny, pulled out of his ride and bricked in the head by rioters over Rodney King in early 90s Los Angeles.
The attack on Reginald Denny was an incident in the 1992 Los Angeles riots in which Reginald Denny, a white construction truck driver, was beaten nearly to death by a group of black assailants who came to be known as the “L.A. Four”. The attack was captured by a Los Angeles News Service helicopter piloted by Bob Tur and shot by Marika Tur. The video was broadcast live on US national television.
Thanks, Kart.
THanks, Titan M. I knew it looked familiar!
